Methodology

The study is a descriptive research. The researchers used descriptive technique because it goes

beyond statistical calculation, gathering and tabulation of data which gave adequate and accurate

interpretation about such information.

A total of eight (8) respondents who are using Computerized Information System at the accounting

department of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. was chosen to participate in the study through random

sampling method. Since there are many clusters or companies under the SM Prime, the researchers

randomly select the Family Entertainment Center, Inc. (FECI) as the source of target population.

To obtain the empirical data needed to validate the study’s conceptual framework and examine the

research hypotheses, a survey questionnaire was used to collect the required data from the key

respondents and statistical techniques were applied to analyze the gathered data.

The independent variable (Computerized Information System) and dependent variables

(completeness, neutrality, free from error and relevance) are measured using a four-point Likert

scale. In determining the average response of the respondents, Weighted Mean was used. For

verbal interpretations of the computed weighted means, the following are the scales and its

corresponding verbal interpretations: 1-1.5 = Disagree, 1.51-2.50 = Moderately Agree, 2.51-3.50

= Agree and 3.51-4 = Strongly Agree.
