Print Ad Competition

Product TILADING
Advertising Objective To promote Tilading as a unique product of Nueva Ecija

Guidelines
 This competition is open to Grades 11 and 12 ABM Strand and Business
Administration students from Senior High Schools, Colleges and Universities in Region
III.
 The competition has two categories: ABM Strand and College Categories
 Team Composition
o Five (5) student participants
o Two (2) substitutes
 All members of the team should be officially enrolled for Academic Year 2017-2018

Reminders
 The team may have a faculty member who can coach and train its members. He/She
will act as the adviser who will coordinate with the organizers on matters regarding the
competition.
 Each school can send more than one (1) team to represent the School, College or
University. Each team, however, is only entitled to submit one print ad for the
competition.
 The print ad entries will be considered as original ideas of the team. Copying of popular
campaigns or using photos without due permission from the owner/s will be
automatically disqualified.
 Print Ad dimension should not be more than 30 x 40 inches.
 All entries should be submitted upon registration. A school code will be assigned to
each team upon registration to avoid bias in judging the entries.
 The team should not use any identifying marks that may be associated with their
respective Schools, Colleges or Universities.
 Each team should bring display/poster stand for the print ad.
 Registration fee: P50/student

Dates to Remember
 September 26 – Deadline for confirmation and final submission of team members’
names.
 September 28 – Print Ad Exhibit and Competition

Judging Procedure
 All entries will be displayed at the venue.
 Print Ads will be screened by a panel of judges composed of Marketing Professionals
and Project Leaders of Tilading.
 The panel will choose TOP Five (5) from among the entries.
 Top five groups will present their print ads on stage. Only five (5) members are allowed
to present on stage.
 Each team will be given maximum of five (5) minutes to present their respective print
ads before the panel of judges. The team is not allowed to mention anything
associated with their respective schools. Another five (5) minutes will be allotted for
the question and answer portion.
 Personal data and school affiliation of the team members shall not be made available
to the judges to ensure fair judging of entries.
 Judges’ decisions are final.

Champion Php 3,000.00 plus Certificates
First Runner-Up Php 2,000.00 plus Certificates
Second Runner-Up Php 1,000.00 plus Certificates
Third Runner-Up Php 500.00 plus Certificates
Fourth Runner-Up Php 500.00 plus Certificates

Senior High School (ABM) Category


Champion Php 3,000.00 plus Certificates
First Runner-Up Php 2,000.00 plus Certificates
Second Runner-Up Php 1,000.00 plus Certificates
Third Runner-Up Php 500.00 plus Certificates
Fourth Runner-Up Php 500.00 plus Certificates

Criteria for Judging


Preliminary
o Clarity of the Message 30%
 Can it be easily understood? Does it have a specific message? Does it
clearly communicate this message?
o Design 30%
 How excellent is the technical quality of the production?
 sharp and relevant design / illustration / copy
o Creativity Content 30%
 Does it support the objectives? Is it high quality, aesthetically pleasing,
original, innovative and/or unique?
o Overall Impression 10%
 Does it stand out? Does the ad’s message stick in your mind?

Oral Presentation
o Delivery 40%
 Statements are well-organized and clearly stated;
 Appropriate business language used
o Response to Questions 40%
 Demonstrates the ability to effectively answer questions of the judges
o Overall Presentation 20%
 Demonstrates self-confidence, poise, and good voice projection

 The final scores of the Top Five (5) Teams will be computed as:
o Preliminary Score 60%
o Oral Presentation 40%
