Tetra Wedge Aseptic packaging material consists of 60-75% renewable
resources and can be recycled is great news for consumers.

Moreover, Tetra Pak has recently developed a low weight board (30mN) for
Tetra Wedge Aseptic. This represents a material reduction of 17%. Since
many environmentally related fees and taxes are based on weight, it helps
producers lower their costs. At the same time it accomplishes a 5.6% reduc-
tion in CO2 emissions for the same amount of packaging.

With about 20% more packaging material per reel, reel changes and splic-
es are less frequent which increases production efficiency. Having more
material on each reel saves space in the warehouse and further optimises
transportation.
All this represents a green win-win since producers can pass on their
numerous gains to consumers in the form of affordable products without
sacrificing margins.
