SCHOOL ASSEMBLY;

The morning session begins with the assembly at 07:55 AM, in which all students and staff
members participate. All students assemble class-wise in the designated places according to their
class for the morning assembly, with teachers.

During the assembly, all students observe proper decorum and solemnity befitting the occasion.
After the prayer, pledge-taking, announcements, short speeches by students/teachers, etc, the
regular classes for the day starts.

To give importance to the study and usage of our National Language, as well as our Mother Tongue,
it is decided by the Management to conduct School Assembly in Malayalam on all Tuesdays, and in
Hindi on all Thursdays. On all Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, assembly will be conducted in
English.

To update students with the day to day happenings, news paper reading is encouraged through
activities like news delivary on the spot, quiz based on newspaper articles etc. which will enhance
their general knowledge.

LIBRARY;

The School has a well equipped library which is one of the best in the state, to
enable the pupils to develop reading habits. It has a wide collection of books in
English, Malayalam and Hindi for various academic and general subjects. The
Kiddies Section of the library is colourful and fascinating to the tiny tots. Strict
discipline and pindrop silence should be followed in the library; failing which, the
student will not be allowed to enter the same.
Library Rules
Students of GPS and members of staff are entitled to borrow books from the
library as per the following criteria.
1. For the students of Std IV onwards, fiction books are available on loan for a
maximum of 2 weeks.
2. For the students of Std VIII onwards, reference books from certain sections
are also available on loan for a maximum of 4 days.If the books are not
returned on the specified date, a fine of Rs.5/- per day will be charged
including due date and return date.
3. All the students are permitted to borrow books from the library during
the summer holidays from 9.30 am to 12.00 noon. The criteria for borrowing
the books will be same as mentioned above. Those who wish to avail books
from the library should be in school uniform.

Physics Lab
The Physics lab is equipped with a wide variety of apparatus which supplement
and strengthen concepts learned in the class room. Experiments in Physics labs
are explained to and done by students with care given to all intricate details of
each of them. So that once imbibed, they remain in the young minds for future
times.

Chemistry Lab
Our Chemistry lab is equivalent to any other high graded chemistry lab. It is a
place where students give practical shape to written work.The lab is equipped
with all the apparatus and chemicals required for the performance of experiments
like Salt Analysis, Volumetric Analysis etc. The student-friendly atmosphere in
the lab helps to enrich the overall personality of the students through motivation
and reinforcement.

Biology Lab
Our spacious and well ventilated Biology Lab caters to the latest and most
modern facilities. Keeping the latest syllabus in mind, the lab is a home to a wide
variety of models, specimens, charts, chemicals etc. The lab ensures that the
practical knowledge is placed on an equal footing with theoretical knowledge for
the all round development of the student.

Computer Lab
A well equipped computer lab with internet facilities enables the student to attain
the latest knowledge in Information Technology. Kindergarten students are taken
once in a week to the lab.

About Our Kindergarten Section

Ding Dong Kindergarten is the place where the tiny tots grow with a sense of self
esteem and self worth. It is the first step towards independence and children
enjoy learning and experience that learning is fun. Equipped with digital
classroom, library and dedicated teachers, Ding Dong Kindergarten assists the
children to develop into confident and well balanced adults. The spacious and
colourful classrooms maximize their information retention and stimulate
participation. The natural play area created inside the class rooms help them
experience the lasting delights of childhood. Education approach is based on
play way method, practical activities, fine motor development and social
interaction. Thus, we aim to assist the children to develop into independent and
proficient human beings.
As a step towards including experiential learning among small kids, a very joyful
learning atmosphere has been created in the school which gives opportunity for
students to do and learn through activities. Besides, to nurture various aspects,
holistic growth of children, different activities, like assembly programmes to
celebrate important days and festivals, personality development activities like
public speaking, stage performance etc. are planned and executed.
