The Town of Leland has requested Brunswick Forest Master Association send this message to all  
Brunswick Forest property owners.  
 
As you may have recently read, the Town of Leland is currently in discussions to transfer the Town's 
utility assets to Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer (H2Go) sanitary district. After this transfer, H2Go 
will provide all water and sewer services to residents in Brunswick Forest.  Leland is moving forward 
with this plan to settle all current disputes with H2Go and the Town of Belville and improve the 
efficiency of water and sewer service in the area.  Leland will also gain an interest in the assets of the 
sanitary district.   
 
Currently Brunswick Forest is not included in the H2Go service area and voting district. If these assets 
transfer without Brunswick Forest being annexed into the sanitary district, residents will not have voting 
rights within the sanitary district and will not be able to vote for the board members of H2Go.  In order 
to gain these important voting rights for elected representation on the H2Go Board, Brunswick Forest 
residents need to petition H2Go to be included in the sanitary district’s jurisdictional boundary.  
  
A petition has been written to request the annexation of Brunswick Forest into the sanitary district, but 
we need to obtain an adequate number of signatures from the residents of Brunswick Forest in order to 
petition H2Go for inclusion.   
 
In other words, without an adequate number of signatures on this petition from residents of Brunswick 
Forest,  you  will  have  water  and  sewer  service  provided  by  H2Go  but  no  ability  to  vote  for  the  board 
members of H2Go who will own and manage the assets and set rate structures. 
 
Representatives of the Town of Leland will be in Brunswick Forest Master Association’s new meeting 
space located between Family Dog Naturals and Hollywood Nails in The Villages at Brunswick Forest 
from 10 am to 7pm on Friday September 20, 2019 for residents to come and sign this petition.  We 
would urge you to come and sign this petition so that the residents of Brunswick Forest will obtain 
voting rights in the sanitary district. 
 
We have also asked for the help of your neighborhood associations to help gather these signatures as 
well.  A member of your neighborhood association may also contact you to sign this petition. 
 
Additionally, the petitions will be available at the Town Hall if you wish to go there and sign. 
 
The Town is requesting that all signatures be completed and delivered to the Town officials by 
September 30th.
