teachers will be able to quickly send a previously-absent student

a resource when necessary. Cell phones are useful tools outside

of the classroom, the same benefits should be taken advantage

of in class.

Lastly, cell phones can support new media assignments or

projects that could perhaps not otherwise be created. For

example, teachers may have students take on a film project,

such as a film adaptation of a literary text. With cell phones,

students will be able to easily record and edit their videos without

needing to rent or borrow any other equipment. Projects

including a podcast interview with a famous Shakespearian

character could also be possible with a cell phone thanks to their

voice recording applications. Students could also have the

opportunity to do a project on a short story, where they create a

meme depicting the story’s climax. There are so many interesting

and diverse projects that are now possible for students to create

and demonstrate their learning, thanks to the power of cell
