WICS MODEL Tasks or Activities for Your Learners

A very common activities is the "Puzzle Story". I will tell a story for my
students and any given point a piece of the puzzle will be put until the
puzzle is formed. The puzzle is actually a picture of what is the story
all about. During the process students will not just listen but analyze
what is the story all about and what will be the next piece in the puzz

Another good example is I will give a certain scenario. Is the hot choc
you drink every morning ready to drink or was made by your Mom fro
the scratch? They will automatically answer "ready to drink". Then I w

answered "I will improve the taste". In this manner I let my student
think or analyze what was the scenario and surprisingly they did.

Last good example is giving my student a typical mathematics problem


Algebra for example. As we know a simple mathematics calculations
can now be easily answered by students nowadays. But giving them
something to analyze is a different scenarion. It will deal greater
analytical skills to derive to a certain point of conclusions.

One good example for practical teaching is with TLE subject. I will give
my students something to work on like cooking or baking. In this
manner its like teaching them to catch fish so that the can eat for a
life time rather than giving them the fish just to eat for a day.

frog or looking a live cell from a microscope. In tgis manner they will
have a gist of what scientist or doctor might be doing as their professi

And last but not the least, one great example is doing an outdoor
camping. I would really let my stiudents do an out door activities such
as camping for them to learn and have an experience what does living
in the wild would be. It will teach them to become independent.

I would say, somehow teaching practically goes hand in hand with

it will not just teach them on that particular day of activities but they

A simple yet one of the most effective ways of teaching for the young
minds. One good example is I will let my students decorate our room,
course with my assistanc. In this activity I am already teaching my
students not just to becaome creative but to be responsible students
early stage of their lives. As simple as decorating their birthday corner
or the cleaners for the day corner wuill teach them to appreciate simp
things they've done.

heard about the english language, they will autoimatically shy away.
What will I do is I will do a program such as a debate, declamation or
stage play. In this manner they will not just learn english but they also
had fun while learning the language.

And one final example is I will let them do a task, Journalism that is,
which they will conduct various interviews with their schoolmates and
even with their teacher for a certain topic. Once they gathered all the
information they need they will now create their own stage for
newscasting. Just imagine the fun and excitement on each student's
face while doing all of these creativity.
