Using the e-instruments Updater Utility

When an update of one of your e-instruments’ libraries becomes available, you can download and install it.
This document describes the steps you must take to successfully install the respective update.

! The illustrations in this update guide refer to an update for the Session Keys Grand S library, but the
process is identical for all other e-instrument libraries.

1. Once you have downloaded the desired update, unzip the file and copy its contents to a drive on your computer.
2. Start KONTAKT and make sure the library that you want to update has been loaded.
3. In the KONTAKT browser, click on the cogwheel icon of the library you want to update and select Remove library
in the pop-up menu that appears.

! Selecting “Remove library” doesn’t delete anything; the data on your drive remains intact.
The library is only removed from KONTAKT’s database.

4. Find and double-click the respective update utility on your drive.

This will open the Library updater dialog.

5. Click the path button in the Library updater dialog.

6. Select the folder on the drive that holds the current library files, then click the OK button.
The update will start immediately. An alert will inform you when the update has been successfully completed.
7. In the KONTAKT browser, click on the Libraries tab and select Add Library to load the updated library.

8. A file selector box will open. Browse to the respective library folder and select it.
The library box will automatically appear in the Libraries tab.
9. Close and restart KONTAKT.
q If you click the double cog-wheel icon in the top left corner of the KONTAKT instrument header, you can
check the current library version number in the Infos view.
