Abstract

In this report, it is analyzed that data resource management is crucial for running an organization
the information of the organization. it includes the research on data resource management and its
effect on improving the business. data resource management issues are included in the report
which is faced by Walmart. The various issues are faced by the company in data resource
management and with the implementation of effective tools and techniques for managing the
resources, Walmart is able to overcome the issues. For the growth and development of the
organization, it is necessary to consider the issues and manage the data effectively. It is analyzed
that the adoption of various methods helps in effectively managing the huge amount of data.

Walmart is a retail store in America which was founded by Sam Walton in 1962 and it operates
in hypermarkets, grocery stores and headquarter of Walmart is in Bentonville, Arkansas. Data
resource management is required for managing the files and information. In the retail sector, data
resource management system is necessary for keeping the record of details of products and
customers. DRM is a process that helps in planning, organizing, describing and controlling the
resources. Data resource management includes the managing of files and business data. It helps
in dealing with information systems and computer science. In DRM, it is required to help to
design, controlling, protecting and storing and organizing the data. Walmart has almost 8,613
retail outlets and spread in over 15 countries. It employs almost 2 million employees all over the
world (Brown, 2004). They adopt the strategy of keeping low costs and high volumes. The huge
volume of data created the issue for the Walmart retailing. It is analyzed that Walmart is a
business-oriented organization and it requires performing the activities with competing for data-
oriented management and implementing business intelligence and the services are required to
critically analyze the collected data. It is a challenging task for an organization to implement the
techniques of data resource management for solving the issues of managing the large volume of
data which requires the business intelligence for creating effective information for the further
functioning process. In the organization it is essential to adopt the business-oriented strategies
and approaches for achieving the goals and objectives of the company. It is important in every
business to adopt the data resource management strategies for overcoming the challenges related
to the managing of data (Chen and Malina, 2017).

Research approach
It is analyses that Walmart collects the huge volume of data which is collected from different
sources about the products and customers and it is required to perform business intelligence. It is
necessary for an organization to have a privacy-related concern about the data. In this study,
research-based resources will be adopted for analyzing database management and managing the
data and operations. In order to design and follow the specific approach, research helps in data
resource management for using the data more effectively and securely. It is crucial for managing
the resources which are related to the privacy issues and it is not necessary to compromise the
business-oriented performance by effectively manipulating the data is systematic order for
performing the business intelligence specific function on behalf of the organization (Wilkinson,
et al., 2016). The research-based approach suggests in designing and following a specific
approach for the data resource management in optimizing the results for securing and effectively
managing the resources. When the organization is business-oriented it provides the chance in
promoting the business with the help of declaration so that the others will not be able to steal the
data for their personal benefits. The enhancement in privacy management helps in integrating the
data resource management for dealing with the various challenges effectively and efficiently. The
procedure of data collection and dissemination is required to be developed for enhancing the
privacy enforcement system.

It is important in every business to collect and manage the data for utilizing the services
including the business-oriented function. For making an effective business strategy, effective
information is required for enhancing productivity and expanding the activities of business-
oriented (Provost and Fawcett, 2013). During the process of data resource management, Walmart
faces various challenges and issues which are related to managing the resources. The sharing the
information at different locations is a complicated process and it requires the proper system to
manage the data of all the locations for calculating the revenue of the business. In retail sector,
the details of the products and information regarding customers are required for managing the
resources properly and sharing the information and data is essential. Several risks are associated
with data sharing and keep the records of information (Braganza, et al., 2017). The legal issue is
also a risk that is faced during data resource management as it requires to be managed properly.
The various challenges related to technology are required to be managed and in order to
overcome the challenges it requires to retain the visibility and controlling the databases.

In order to maintain the data and information related to employees and customers, an
organization is required to properly manage the data resource management. Implementation of
DRM in business helps in bringing the strategic change in the process of the organization and
also increases the benefits for retaining the employees are the workplace. In Walmart, DRM is an
issue that is required for them to manage properly for the customer’s information and employee
information and the several processes related to production. It is analyzed that data resource
management requires effective and intelligent strategies for manipulating and managing the large
volume of data. The resources are collected from various sources and then the data are converted
into the relevant I formation for further processing and keeping the record of the information
(Wang, et al., 2016). If the resources are not properly managed in the organization, the various
issues may arise during the process of the business. In Walmart, the resources must be managed
so that the requirements of the products can easily be analyzed. For the growth and development
of the company, it is essential to implement data resource management at each level of the
organization. The issues related to data management occurs in managing the technical
information, financial data, during storing and retaining the data.It is analyzed that when the data
is collected from third party and dissemination company, it is a more efficient way for the
organization to manage the resources. When the data and information are used and by another
person without the consent and authorization from the management, it will be harmful to the
company and anyone can misuse the information for their use. The main reason for managing the
resources is to secure the information from hacking and theft of information so that any other or
competitor of the company can misuse it for adopting more effective strategies for competing
(Gharaibeh, et al., 2017).

For the data resource management in the organization, it is challenging for the data collection
and dissemination companies in performing the business-oriented operations and save the clients
by maintaining the honesty and integral means of the services in the business (Polyzotis, et al.,
2017). it is required in the business to focus on the efficient framework and effective
methodologies for the development of the business and critically analyzing the procedures which
are related with the data collecting and management as it will be helpful in formulating the end
reports and effective strategies which are beneficial for the growth and development of the
business (Holland, et al., 2007). In order to provide the privacy and security challenges which are
faced by Walmart can be resolved by the adoption of the latest and advanced methodologies as it
will be effective and efficient for the business. DRM is effective in the whole process of the
organization (Daki, et al., 2017). With the implementation of data resource management it is
necessary to appoint the data resource manager for managing all the information and data of the
organization.
The implementation of data resource management helps in minimizing the risk and maximizes
the profits of the organization. The implementation is also effective for the growth of the
organization. In an organization, the management of data resources and attaining more benefits
helps in placing the position of the business in the market. It is essential to follow the ethics and
policies which are related to the implementation and adopted of data resource management
systems. In order to manage the resources Walmart organization requires giving training to
people for effectively managing the data resource management. Data resource management is
beneficial for future of the organization as trained employees will help in increasing productivity
(Saeed, et al., 2003). Walmart requires managing the vendors and customers data in large volume
and it can be managed with database management system as it helps in defining, manipulating,
retrieving and managing data in a database. There are various types of database which help in
managing the data in large volume includes the relational database, flat database, object-oriented
database, and hierarchical database. It includes the collection of data which helps in representing
the data in an efficient manner. In data resource management in retailing sector includes the
stakeholder's data and it is crucial to managing the data of stakeholders in an effective manner
for utilizing the resources. Customer's data in retailing plays a crucial role as it helps in
formulating the strategies in an effective manner. When the information of customers is recorded
in systems it helps in contacting them at the time of requirement and helps in promoting the
organization. Walmart can implement the software for data resource management as it helps in
simplifying the process of collecting the data from customers. it helps in building trust in
customers by explaining the reason for collecting the data and how it will be utilized for future
purposes. Cohesive strategy in retailing helps in competing in market with the rivals. When the
custom data is collected from the customers and other stakeholders it helps in managing the data
automatically in a format for understanding the system and data is required for providing a better
and more personalized experience for the customers (Beloglazov and Buyya, 2010).

In Walmart, the large volume of data is recorded and requires the system for managing the data
and information for performing the data connection and dissemination function for the analyses
and adopting an effective strategy for the business. it is essential for the business to maintain the
privacy of the business-specific data and information. Implementation of DRM helps in
allocating and analyzing the information about the products in Walmart. In the corporate world, it
is essential to maintain the privacy of stakeholders and their information must not be forwarded
to any third person without their permission (Tang, et al., 2016). In business, the analysis and
implementation of database management and utilization of effective plan help in checking the
stock of products and balances which are included in the extraction of the external data form the
preliminary stage for collecting the data and performing dissemination functions. For the purpose
of data collection and dissemination purpose it is necessary to develop an intelligent and efficient
privacy enforcement framework for integrating the data and utilizing the resources effectively.
With the help of privacy enforcement framework the data can be secured for further processing
(Taylor and McGraw, 2004). Frameworks include the management of data effectively with issue
of data privacy and consider them in a systematic manner. Privacy management systems are
included with the data resource management for critically analyzing the privacy aspects and
maintain the security at all the levels and helps in introducing the specific privacy for balancing
the checking the information. Effective implementation of data resource management system
helps in increasing the flexibility and sustainability for improving the performance of the

improves the overall strategies of the organization and crate much effective process on the
overall organization. The issues of the data resources management need to maintain for the better

programs and it helps in interfacing between the users and databases. With the help of traditional

redundancy, lack of data integration, data dependency.

Data must be entered into the system accurately for maintaining the overall process of the
system. DRM helps in providing the data independence and data abstraction for making the data
independent for the benefits of the business. when the DRM issues are removed it helps in
securing the data from any type of risk which are linked with data. The database management
system is required for managing the data in the system which helps in creating an securing the
data of the organization (Li, et al., 2016). It was challenging for the company to manage the data
effectively by deploying the data resource management in managing the huge volume of data.

Discussion
Walmart is one of the main retailing stores which requires the implementation of data
management on a necessary basis. For the implementation of effective data resource
management, efficient resource management is considered as an important process for the
organization. At the various levels of Walmart DRM is required. As per the customer's point of
view, data is collected with the help of various strategies that are effective. In order to manage
the potential intelligence for the customers in providing services. When the organization is
business-oriented it requires to keep the privacy of legal aspects and issues which are needed to
be considered for continuing the functionality by increasing the parameters of integrity and
keeping the large interest (Motwani, et al., 2003)t. the collection of data and dissemination is
required for managing the large volume of data that is collected from the various sources of
information. In Walmart, it is necessary to maintain the privacy issues of customers information
like credit card details and any personal details for their safety and safeguarding the various
interests. It is necessary for an organization to keep an understanding of data resource
management and its implementation process so the management follows the privacy protection
and its guidelines which are related at the systematic level (Gulati, et al., 2012).

In every business, accurate information is necessary for making an effective decision and having
business-oriented intelligence. The implementation of a retail management information system
helps in managing the business efficiently. In retailing sector it is crucial to managing the
resources with the help of software, database, hardware and using of various effective modules
(Azaria, et al., 2016). Database management helps in providing the relevant information to the
manager on regular basis for analyzing the performance and the day to day activities. It helps in
anticipating the needs and fulfilling the requirements of the management. It helps in exchanging
the information in systems by collecting the information all the stores of the organization. data
resource management helps in handling the customer analysis. Data resource management helps
in managing the customer's information by retention and loyalty. Inventory control and
management help in tracking inventory of the organization which is required to maintain the
stock in the stores.

Suggestion for further work

In the process of data analyzing, data collection and dissemination ae considered as an important
part for the organization and creating the business intelligence in some specific functioning.
Incorporation of a Specific enforcement system can help the existing system which is associated
with the collection of data and managing specific projects. In an organization, it is necessary to
incorporate the data resource management for dealing with large amount of data for designing
intelligent data analysis as it helps in operating the data in an effective and efficient manner.
When the automated transaction is done with the help of system, the time of human resources
saves and that time can be utilized for doing any other work (Laudon and Laudon, 2016.
Repetitive work can be managed by systems and automation of work can be done easily with the
implementation. Data resource management requires specific strategies and action plans for
making effective decisions. The tools for automated data require various algorithms as it can be
any device or software for the different types of business-oriented firms. At the micro-level of
the business, privacy enforcement system must be implemented for dealing with the different
data tools. Further work is required for managing the human resources. Human resource
management helps in analyzing the efficiency of employees. the implementation of system helps
in managing the employees performance and their work in an effective manner so that they will
be able to achieve the objective of the organization. When the change in system is required for
the implementation of system related to privacy can be changed at the micro level for the
continuous functional and organization requirements which are linked with the management
tools (O’Leary, 2002). Walmart can implement the data resource management along with the
other management system for the efficient use of the data so that the information is available for
use in future.
