INTRODUCTION

Swamp Taro is generally grown as a backyard crop and is most


often planted in tracts of land no greater than a few' hundred square
meters. However, there are some, areas in the Bicol region where the
crop is cultivated in commercial scale. The boiled corms serve as
substitute staple to many families particularly those living in the
hinterlands where growing rice is less feasible. Likewise, they are served
as snack item in fom1 of boiled whole corm, fried chips, confections and
other preparations. Other Food Uses. Taro flour has been reportedly lIsed
for special baked products, beverages, baby food and others. However,
they have not reached commercial level in the Philippines. Taro
production in the Philippines is still low compared to sweet potato and
cassava that the crop has been classified under "other" roots, bulbs and
tubers.
The primary product of this crop is the underground corm, which
varies in characteristics with cultivar and age. As a food, the corm of the
giant swamp taro can be roasted, boiled, or baked whole, or mashed or
grated and combined with other starches for eating
In today's highly competitive environment, it is becoming
increasingly difficult to differentiate one good food product from another.
PALatable WAN is a locally food product company outlet that will be
positioned as a local franchise through our creative approach to the
company's image and detail presentation. PALatable WAN will provide a
combination of excellent food at value pricing, with fun packaging and
satisfying food products. PALatable WAN Company is the answer to an
increasing demand for snack-type, to be consumed while having a break
time, listening to the discussion, and walking around inside or outside of
a room.
Our main priority is to establish one outlet inside the campus of
Gallanosa National High School, preferably in one of prominent space
in Municipal Park. Later, our effort will be a further development of more
retail outlets in the surrounding area.
The variety products of PALAtable WAN will entice youngsters to
bring their friends and family with our innovative environment, fresh-cut
swamp taro fries, swamp taro shake,swamp taro chips and selection of
unique signature flavoring powder .
We seek out superior products from around the municipal, and
plan and develop high quality original products.
In order to supply delicious products that our customers can
consume with an inherent sense of safety, we make sure to clean the
actual production areas, and carefully check that the environment, raw

Executive Summary

Palatable Wan Company will provide variety of products particularly


foods and services that will be offered to people inside and Outside the
Campus of Gallanosa National High School. The CEO, COO, and Other
Workers who runs the Company, will propose a product’s design which
can be satisfy the needs and wants of the customers by providing them
high quality products and services. Our product categories are; Palawan
Chips, Palawan Shake and Palawan Fries, that has its first
Capital/Investment from the producers that extends to P250 and it can
be emphasises more the value of the product, because of its high quality.

The business is a partnership owned by GRADE-12 ABM BLOCK C


Students. This plan is prepared to obtain a location for the initial launch
of this concept. Additional financing will need to be secured for the two
subsequent outlets, anticipated in month 3 and early in a year. The
financing, in addition to the capital contributions from shareholders, will
allow PALAtable WAN company to successfully open and expand through
year two. The initial capital investment will allow PALAtable WAN to
provide its customers with a value-driven, entertaining experience
through the creativity of its founders.

I. Customers

Palatable Wan will serve variety of Palauan products to the


customers from inside and outside the campus such as students,
parents, teachers, principal, and other various customers outside the
campus. Since our company will produce a nutritious and healthy
products, it is very suitable to the taste and preferences of those
customers who are health conscious.

II. Market Need

Palatable Wan Company will be located inside the Campus in


MUNTI and outside the campus in IROSIN PARK. The demand of these
products in the market are healthy, affordable, and delicious product to
be serve inside and/or outside the campus of Gallanosa National High
School. The Palatable Wan has a high quality when it comes to
packaging and clean productivity as it preserves to the health benefits of
the customers.

MARKETING PLAN

A. PRODUCT

PALAtable WAN Company markets an innovative products made from


Palawan - PALAUAN CORM FRIES, PALAUAN CORM CHIPS AND
PALAUAN CORM SHAKE. PALAtable WAN's attributes are its ability to
meet customers' expectations, responding to customers' demands and
offering product quality.
PALAUAN CORM FRIES are deep fried standard cut rectangular strips
made from palauan corm. It gives a crispy texture in the outside and the
taste of fluffiness in the inside. It is packed in a french fries packaging
paper box labeled with its nutrition facts and consume before date that last
for a week after the production. All PALAUAN CORM FRIES are packed
in a french fries packaging paper box that corresponds its price to its size. It
gives an option, either in a regular sized container costing P10.00 each or in
a large sized container costing P15.00. PALAtable WAN Company will
produce 25 pieces of regular fries and 25 pieces of large fries for its initial
operation. Also it offers a variety of flavors, from savory flavor to palatable
ones like cheese, barbeque, sour and cream, spicy flavor and the special
flavor offered by the company is the sugar-coated PALAUAN CORM
FRIES.
PALAUAN CORM CHIPS are crinkle cut rectangular shaped palawan
crisps with a unique crunch. It gives a variety of savouring flavors such as
cheese and sweet barbeque. It is packed in a paper stand up zip lock pouch
that gives our customers an easy way to eat the desired product without
making a mess. All PALAUAN CORM CHIPS are packed in a paper stand
up zip lock pouch labeled with its consume before date and nutrition facts.
Also, it gives a packaging option, either in a regular sized container costing
P10.00 or in a large container costing P15.00. For its initial operation,
PALAtable WAN Company will produce 20 pieces of regular chips and 25
pieces of large chips per day.
PALAUAN CORM SHAKE gives a light, sweet and creamy feeling with
the taste of 100% palauan ingredient. It is packed in a shake cups with
dome lids and a paper straw. All PALAUAN CORM SHAKE is packed in a
shake cups with dome lids labeled with its nutrition facts and the consume
before date of the product. PALAtable WAN Company will produce 25
pieces of regular sized shake for its initial operation and it wil cost P20.00
each.

B. PLACE:
The main production of Palawan Products is situated in main campus of
Gallanosa National High School at San Pedro, Irosin, Sorsogon. PALAtable
WAN Company will set a consignment to the canteen to sell the products
to the customers. Also, selling directly to customers by marketing the
products room by room. The company website will also allow the
customers to view everything offered by the company.

Customer awareness is the first step in promoting our product.


Palatable Wan Company will be promoted through fliers around the
campus, an advertisement in radio and newspaper, through social media
and through word of mouth. This strategy will also contribute to the final
aspect of successful promotion, moving the customer to make a
purchase.

Palatable Wan Company will also utilize public relations for


promoting the business. The company will demonstrate public relations
through community involvement, such as sponsoring and taking part in
school events such as parades and other activities. This will not only
show the business’s participation in school events, but will also be an
excellent form of advertisement to increase consumer awareness. Public
relations will be essential for Palatable Wan Company to be successful.

TARGET MARKET
PALAtable WAN Company is targeting the people on the
basis of demographic characteristics and targeting the children
and youth generation from upper and middle level people, which
are the students of the said school. In addition to this, it is
focusing on the geographic characteristics also and searching for a
strategic location to introduce our new franchise. Under its target
market strategy, we’re targeting the people, who are willing and
will be satisfied to eat the delicious and nutritious food at the
school campus. Targeting this market will assist our company in
reaching to most of the population in the school campus.
PALAtable WAN Company’s customers can be broken
down into three groups, students, teaching and non-teaching
staffs and those who are outside the campus that are willing to
buy. Our target market is our school. Our customers will be the
students of our school with the age between 12-25 years old, and
teachers and non-teaching staffs with the age between 23-50 years
old. We will introduce our business to our fellow students by
serving them our product and giving them the satisfaction that
they want. In case our business will be successful inside our
school. We plan to expand our business in our municipality and
nearby communities.

Gallanosa National High School. In getting the market share of our target
customers, we divided the projected monthly revenues over projected
annual revenues multiplied by 100. Also to get the estimated demand,
the number of population (Students - 3000, Teachers – 250) of each
target customers will be multiplied with the projected market share in
percentage. The estimated demand was summed up to get the total

Financial Plan

The company is a corporation type of business possessed by the


PALAtable WAN Company. Future shares will be offered in the 2nd week up to
the last of operation of the company.
Start-up funding
Currently, the company is owned by the original 13 founders, who
each will contribute Php 250.00 for the same amount of share, 7.7%. This will
