INTRODUCTION

organization created by people that operates independently from any form of government.
NGOs are generally work in different fields of life, but mostly commonly associated with the
group seeking some social change and improvements on social ground. The term actually
originated from United Nations that are not a part of a government and are not conventional
for profit business. These organization are actually work on non-profit bases and intend to
fight for social causes
To run NGOs we need volunteers, the more active volunteers are there the more successful
organization it will be. Volunteers are the lifeblood of many organization, indeed almost every
non-profit got started by either an individual or group if people volunteering their time. Even
the biggest development organization in the world such as UNITED NATION use volunteers
from all around the world to increase their effectiveness. The question always remains, how do
you get the most of your volunteer and how can you motivate them to even go to the extra mile
for your organization.
Volunteering is important because it helps to better your community, it also helps to better
you as an individual. So, it is very important to study about motivation amongst them because
their activities, their way of doing work, leads to a change we want to see in our society.
More oftenly NGOs works comes indeed when government cannot help us. So it is very
important to study their work frame and to encourage them as much as we can because with
every single act it lead us to one step closer to the betterment.
This study is undertaken with a view to analyze the awareness among youngsters regarding
social causes in various ways. Neither we just can’t be in a hope always to get a solution
regarding a particular problem automatically nor we can wait for a change we want to see in
2
our society. “BE THE CHANGE” should be the slogan on which every person should work
on it.
HYPOTHESES
• In the competitive environments in which they operate NGOs face economic hardship
and upward accountability requirements that impel them to develop in ways that lead
them to resemble either the bureaucratic government agencies they sometimes
replace, or the private sector business to which they are meant to offer an alternative.
• Often they may have to face some other political pressure or many other obstacles
from outside to stop their work which might be harmful for them in various ways.
