1. Analyze and describe your career type as well as your score summary.

My career type is a persuader. This means I take the lead and make

decisions. I like to make things happen and complete set goals. On top of this I

motivate and influence others.

2. What is your interest level for the six areas?

Building- 0

Organizing- 16

3. Did anything surprise you? Why or why not?

I was surprised that persuading was my highest interest level. I typically

see myself as more of a follower. If a situation needs a leader, I can step up and

make the necessary decisions. However when I need to take the lead and make

decisions in a group setting I am always hesitant because I am a people pleaser.

I make a decision based off the whole groups’ opinions and worry too much

about making everyone happy. Trying to please everyone is a long process and

when something needs to be decided quickly I usually find myself letting

someone else take the lead.

4. Identify and discuss the top three careers you found based on your primary

interest area.

1. Advertising and promotions manager: Advertising and promotions managers

work with department heads or staff to plan programs to create interest in a

 product or service. They also talk about marketing plans, contracts, and

budgets. This is a career that I don’t think I would enjoy.

2. Sales management: Sales managers set sales goals, analyze data, assign

sales training, and lead a team. This career would be a good choice for me

because leading a team and meeting goals is something that I am skilled at.

3. Judge or hearing officer: Judges and hearing officers apply the law by

overseeing the legal process in courts. This is definitely a career that I don’t

see myself perusing.

5. Assess and explain how you plan to utilize this new information.

I found this new information helpful for me to find other careers that I didn’t

think of. Having the career assessment search for job opportunities based off my

core values and personality traits was a great way to find a career that I would

enjoy. However, moving forward I am already set on my future career. I have a

dream that I want to make a reality. Being a sales manager will be kept in the

back of my mind if I need to change my future plans.
