This special issue, as well as the previous issue of Scientia

Chromatographica yields a tribute to Professor Harold McNair,
Emeritus Professor at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, on the occasion of
his 80th birthday. In addition to being an internationally
recognized scientist in the separation science arena, Professor
McNair is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Scientia
Chromatographica since its conception and first release.
