triangles, each of which is similar to the original triangle.

Two isosceles triangles have equal vertical angles and their areas are in the ratio 9:16. Find
the ratio of their corresponding heights.
Q.30. Draw a circle of radius 6 cm. From a point 10 cm away from its centre, construct the
pair of tangents to the circle.
Q.32 The length of the minute hand of a clock is 14 cm. Find the area swept by the minute
hand in 5 minutes.

Q.39.A farmer wants to dig a well either in the form of cuboid of dimensions
(1m x 1m x 7m) or in the form of cylinder of diameter 1 metre and height 7m. The rate to dig
the well is rupees 50/m3. Find the cost to dig both wells.
