Course Overview
The course is aimed at delivering an insight into the field of business and environment surrounding
it. In today’s dynamic world it is mandatory to have primary knowledge of the immediate
environment in which the business is conducted. With the dawn of liberalization, privatization and
globalization it has become very important to get an insight in the work paradigms which are
updated time to time. MNC’s have added another dimension to the work culture and it varies
according to the surroundings. Similarly various other areas get affected or affect the working. So it
is of utmost importance to know the innovative practices used in the present era.

Structure, Requirements and Procedures
The course requires class room teaching where all the chapters are discussed using regular teaching
pedagogy. During the lectures students participation is also invited so that they can read current
economic situation and compare it with economic situation in the near past. It is mandatory for the
students   to   submit   assignments   and   give   presentations   as   required   for   the   evaluation   process.
Students are expected to attend classes regularly. 

Learning Outcomes
After studying Business Environment course, the students would be able to:

1. Improve their understanding of business and environment as one and separate entities.
2. Various government initiatives and reforms since independence.
3. Practical implication of modern theories / reforms in the Indian context.
4. In depth knowledge of policies and changes made to them.
5. Growth and sustainability in economic environment.
