Curriculum and teaching methodology

The curriculum is designed to integrate international standards of delivery and assimilation. Through best in class professors
from across the world, unmatched facilities and extensive workshops, MIDAS aims to enable students to gain extensive
knowledge on international architectural standards and global exposure.

By studying at MIDAS, one not only exposes students to the highest quality of education and standards but also gears them
up to face the challenges of the competitive contemporary world. Apart from classroom sessions and theoretical knowledge,
the curriculum expands into deeper understanding through hands on experience. Students are not only trained to be keen on
interrogation of an issue but are also inspired to bring about solutions on their own. Thus, learning at MIDAS does not restrict

Admission Procedure

B.Arch admissions are open to all Indians.


(Provided the applicant fulfills the minimum eligibility
requirements for admission as per Council of Architecture,
New Delhi and Anna University, Chennai norms)

Eligibility
i. Qualified a recognized aptitude test in Architecture
(NATA or equivalent) in 2018,

ii. Have gone through any of the following curriculum with marks
as prescribed below:
(a) 10 + 2 or equivalent examination of Central / State
Govts. with 50% aggregate marks and with
Mathematics as a compulsory subject of
examination;
(OR)
(b) 10 + 3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central /
State Govts. with 50% aggregate marks with
Mathematics as a compulsory subject of
examination;
(OR)
(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma passed /
appearing, after 10 years of Schooling with 50%
marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as
compulsory subject of examination.

NASA 2015
57th Annual Convention saw a plethora of grand events where
brilliant minds from the field of architecture came together to
debate, discuss and enlighten audiences on the theme of
Transformation. Events like, lecture by Ar. Snehal Shah, panel
discussion on the topic Critical Thinking in Architectural Design
Education by Ar. Prem Chandavarkar where renowned
architects and academicians were a part of the panel, for instance
Prof. Martyn Hook (RMIT), Yasmin Sheriff (DSA, UK), book reading
session by Prof. Christopher Benninger were the highlights of
the event. Stephen Hodder, President, RIBA, Sanjay Mohe,
Rafiq Azam, Sir Peter Cook, Prof. Tezuka also delivered
lectures to participants. World's largest painting was attempted
during NASA 2015 based on the concepts of Smart City and
on the theme of Transforming India. His Excellency, Honorable
Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr K Rosaiah was the Chief Guest for
the Valedictory function. 1200 students together attempted
the World's Largest Painting in six hours, depicting Model of a
Developed India dedicated to the vision of 100 Smart
Cities, a mission being pursued by the Government of India.

TRIKONA
Trikona is a biennial event hosted by MIDAS that lasts
4 nights and 3 days with students participating from all over the
country. This event hosts a huge gathering of young,
enthusiastic students of architecture from a number of
colleges on a national level. It is a tremendous platform
for networking and interaction among the students of
architecture. Young minds come together to think
beyond one’s measure and showcase their skills, talent,
creativity and sportsmanship with a spirit of inexhaustible joy.

A healthy competition is being brought to stage with each


college proving their might to win over the design trophy.
Jam-packed events such as competitions, workshops and
iconic lectures from eminent speakers are lined through
the day for these students. Finally, the festivity remains
incomplete without some fun and frolic in the air. Therefore,
the celebration is wrapped up with a late night music concert and
DJ Night.
