Product description
Isollat-05-is a suspension of fillers, flame-retardants in polymer water-emulsion composition, swell-
ing under impact of high temperature. Its compliance certificates and test reports issued by accredit-
ed certification bodies and testing centres in accordance with the law determine Fire retardant prop-
erties of coating Isollat-05. To give decorative properties and enhance weather resistance recom-
mended to apply on top of the fireproof coating agents, urethane-alkyd or vinyl chloride enamels.

Typical use
Fire protection coating Isollat-05 is intended to increase the limit of fire resistance of bearing steel
construction of buildings and facility in industrial, warehouse and civilian objects including ad-
ministrative, food, cultural, educational and shopping and entertainment destination, as well as
energy and mining. Coating fully complies with the technical regulations on fire safety require-
ments (Federal law of Russian Federation dated 22.07.2008 No. 123-FZ) and GOST (RUSSIA)
53295-2009 means of fire protection for steel structures. General requirements. Method for de-
termination of fire-resistance rating. Provides fire resistance period up to R30, R60, R90, R120.
Operating conditions cover: indoors at an air temperature of +5° c and +45° c (briefly up to +80°
c) and relative humidity up to 90% with no condensation, contact with liquids and aggressive en-
vironment. Life is up to 20 years.

Technology of application
1. Priming
Priming works are made in conformity with the technical documentation of the manufacturer of
the primer. To secure lasting adhesion to the subsequent product all surfaces shall be clean, dry
and free from any contamination. Primed surface ready to spray fire retardant paint after full
drying primers.

2. Process of coating fire retardant paint.

2.1. Control primer coating

Visual assessment of the status of priming coating is damage, defects, corrosion is

not permitted.

All defects and damage to the primer coating must be fully removed in conformity with
the technical documentation of the manufacturer of the material prior to the coating fire
retardant paint.

2.2. Preparing to spray

Surface preparation - clean from dust and other dirt, grease for example by solvent xy-
lene.
Paint is mixed low-speed mixer (no more than 300 min-1) or by hand until smooth. Ex-
cessive mixing intensity saturates paint air, which can lead to defects of the coating
(slopes).

2.3. Application of fire retardant coatings

Required conditions for manufacture of works on deposition and drying of coatings
The temperature of air +5° c and +35° C;
Relative air humidity up to 90%;
The lack of atmospheric precipitation;
The surface temperature above the dew point of not less than 3° C;

Main method of coating by Airless spraying apparatus with pressure 20-25 MPA and not less
than 4 flow rate l/min. Filter-30 Mesh. Nozzle selection is subject to availability and the ge-
ometry of the painted design, diameter - 0.68 mm, 0.48 and spray angle from 20 up to 50°
(example of marking nozzle: 327-angle 30°, ø 0.027 "(0.68 mm)). Parameters are featured

may vary in either direction depending on the capabilities of your hardware configuration,
machined structures and temperature conditions of application.
In hard-to-reach places it is permissible to use the brush.
Coating is done in layers until desired thickness, specified in the design documentation. The
next layer of coating is allowed only upon drying of the previous. Wet coating thickness must
not exceed 1 mm.

The final formation of the fireproof coating is carried out during 5-15 days, depending on
conditions and number of layers.

Transportation and storage

Isollat-05 is not a hazardous substance and can be transported (at temperature not less than
plus 40 C) all kinds of covered transport.
Isollat-05 store as packaged at a temperature of no higher than 300 С in the closed warehouse
at a distance of one meter from the heater in a sealed plastic or metal container.

Warranty
The manufacturer guarantees the compliance of these products to the requirements of these
technical regulations, in accordance with the conditions of transportation and storage. Guaran-
tee period of storage Isollat-05 is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Warranty lifetime
coating on the construction, not less than three years. Operation life cover with weather-
resistant finishing coating is 10 years when saving technology application and operating con-
ditions. Fire protection coating can be recovered at the end of the warranty period, as well as
in the event of damage during the operation.
