In the past, the main role of the teacher was providing information. Today, however, we
can get access to a wide range of information. Thus there is no role for the teacher. To
what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Response:

In today’s world, growing technological influence(s) The technological influences can

even be seen in all aspects of human life, especially learning. While it is believed that
they (Robots) will take place of classroom teacher in the foreseeable future, I contend
that the role of teachers will be perpetual since their benefits outweight that of
technology-driven teacher.

It goes without saying that technology-based learning is much more convenient and
flexible. Firstly, students can have lessons virtually whenever and whatever they want, as
long as they have electronic devices accessing the internet. In other words, they can stay
at home and absorb knowledge using computers without having to traveling to school,
which saves time that could be used for sport activities or actual learning instead.
Secondly, unlike the conventional method of teaching, where instructors may at times
need to compromise with weaker students so as to stick to their teaching schedule, the
online courses offer timetable based on student’s pace and demand.

In spite of the numerous advantages of learning via computers, I advocate that teachers
play a foremost role in classroom as aftificial (Spelling) Artifical Intelligence cannot
(fail to)take certain essential functions of educators. In terms of cognitive skills, the role
of teachers is to aid students develop (sharpen) interpersonal skills and moral values.
This means that the aims of education not only impart knowledge of various subjects and

access their academic ability, but also teach them standards of upright conduct. This can
only be achieved through hands-on communication at school. Futhermore, teachers are
able to help their students who had bad academic performances and establish the
emotional connection needed to motivate students assiting (Spelling) assisting them
overcome the troubles in their life. In short, this would be unlikely if learning carries out
by computers.

In conclusion, although learning by techonology virtual learning reaps a number of

benefits for students, they are no substitute for teachers because cannot fulfil a range of
purposes of education. they never come to fruition in guiding students as teachers do.
