RECOMMENDATIONS

 Good Samaritian NGO lack expertise in a lot of domains related to technology for
instance the person responsible for fundraising , infrastructure was just two people.

 They lack good platform for marketing their NGO through social media strategy or any
other platform.

 Their Networking needs to be improved as that would help in fund raising and in
monetory terms.

 Ms Sangeeta ( Children Co-ordinator at GSM) handles all the the 30 kids which might be
a steadious task so would actually need one more proper trained co-ordinator to assist her
in work.

 Need of More good skilled Teachers as basics are not clear of students

 GSM is required to work in collaboration with corporates and Government to reorient

their approaches and convert their organizations as professional organizations.

 NGO should be good in comparative advantage in networking, alliance building,

information and communication should embrace and take all steps for its adoption and
implementation at the level.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

 Working in a NGO is like bringing change in society. They work together for eradicating
the issues that people face.
 Working with a NGO requires a good heart and dedication towards what the intiative is
that is what time we are dedicating for social noble cause.
 We got a golden chance through CSR to be a part of Good Samaritian NGO and teach
unprivileged children which gave us amazing sense of fulfilling social responsibility
towards society
 The last days of NGO was awesome we played music , danced there was joy and
happiness all around. Everywhere what we saw was immense happiness and laughter on
the children faces which was worth it.
 Teaching them and enjoying the best seven days where you actually got to know how
world is on other side where you get everthing ready made in life too seeing these
children been independent on their own and learning from their own ups and downs
 Life is interesting to teach you things that was not in our pursuit
 Good samaritian has in a way helped us to explore more in NGOs and learn things that
would help us in our Professional lifes too
 When you take the step to volunteer in GSM, you not only get to see people facing the
problems in their daily life, but also get a chance to help them out through sustainable
solutions. You get to work with women and children in different areas, and can provide
them adequate knowledge for a better life.
 The smallest of the things can make you smile. Making someone else happy, or bringing
more knowledge and learning to someone else’s life, can be an experience worth
cherishing

1. Discovering So Much to Be Grateful For

This has given us a different sense of appreciation for everything that we used to take for
granted. The other part is from being involved in the children’s lives (from the orphanage),
and learning about their background. Each kid had a very heart wrenching story

2. Choosing to Keep Your Heart Open

Even though they don’t get much love and attention in the orphanage, they are willing to open up
their hearts to someone who shows them just a little bit of affection. This is a choice that they
have made to live with their hearts open, and so can we choose to live the same way!

3. Being in The Moment

While we try to teach children all about life, children teach us what life is all about. There is no
better place to learn about being in the moment than to spend a few hours with children. They are
so full of energy and excitement

4. Children’s Desperate Need for A Good Role Model

We feel privileged to be part of the kids’ lives, and for keeping some memorable moments in
our heart that we will carry for the rest of our life.

5. Connecting Dots

Good networking we actually have a contact with us of GSM NGO through which we can be in
in Future

6. Exposure

We got an exposure to a new innovative world of NGO where in we got to know how things are
different

7. Physical Management Skills

Good Samaritian NGO has taught us how to be a multi tasker , understand everbody as everyone
is different from eachother which helped us in discovering opportunity for personal growth

8. Character development

Volunteering internships allow you to work closely on important social issues and let you
contribute to the society. We could even discover ourself while working with an NGO for the
betterment of the society and this could play a significant role in building our character as we
inculcate in ourself, eminent qualities like empathy, humility, patience, and optimism.

9. It will provided us with a sense of purpose

Often in life, we do things without knowing why we are doing it. A lot of actions remain
undefined. But surely, volunteering won’t be one of those. This will give you a sense of purpose.
It’ll make you feel good about your decisions and actions as you’ll know that you are doing
something for someone, without hoping for anything in return. This will boost your enthusiasm

10. It increased our social and relationship skills

A major part of your volunteering trip will comprise of communications and interactions. If you
are a shy person, you’ll slowly come out of your cocoon and realize the joy of opening up. If you
are one of those who is always happy to talk, then you’ll be on a roll. A volunteering journey
will undoubtedly improve your social and relationship skills. It’ll also make you more confident
as a person.

11. Best way to work on yourself

Volunteering isn’t just about working for the community, but also about working on yourself –
it’s both an outward as well as an inward journey. And there’s a ‘Win-Win’ situation. You’ll get
to know about a lot of potentials that you perhaps never knew you possessed. You’ll feel good
about your motives and make better decisions for your future. You’ll also get an opportunity to
learn new things from your peers. You’ll have challenges to face, and find ways to overcome

We came to teach these kids something, but they actually taught us through their real
experiences
