Background
The course outline design of this subject includes a research proposal component which
is actually the final examination requirement of the course. Research activity can
enhance students’ capability to think logically, rationally and analytically. The students
are encouraged to apply the topics discussed in this subject to identify critical
knowledge gaps to some existing discoveries, theories and applications. This is also the
best time for the students to start reading key texts and papers on their chosen research
topic for them to determine whether their ideas are practical and achievable.

The students are grouped into five (5) members and will work on one topic proposal.
The group has to undergo first the topic presentation to the class for the approval of the
subject teacher before proceeding to the making of the final research proposal
document.
