These are internal instrument parameters to be used, only in such particular cases, by trained
personnel only. PASSWORD Setting method using the code C00022.
AUTO 0 AUTOZERO AT SWITCHING ON. This parameter define a weight interval around the zero so
that if the weight is inside this interval during the switching on the visualisation of the value 00000
is forced. This forcing does not introduce any error in the weighing. If during the switching on the
weight does not fall within this interval it is correctly displayed. This parameter is define with the same
unit as the weight. Assigning the value 00000 to this parameter the function is disabled.
It is normally used when there is the possibility that on the balance will remain some material that
could be considered as an additional tare.
CONT 0 ZERO CHECK. This parameter represents the weight range inside which the weight is considered in
minimum weighing. The unit is the same as the visualised weight.
ZERO TRACKING This function allow the display to be maintained at 00000 even when alterations in the time
due to accumulations of material as well as system drifts are present. The zero forcing does not
introduce any error during weighing. The zero tracking is carried out by setting the parameters TIME
and RANGE afterwards described. When the weight remains within of the zero tracking range for a
time lower than the zero tracking time an automatic zeroing is carried out.
T 0 TR ZERO TRACKING TIME. This parameter defines a time interval that, when elapsed, any
variations of zero must be compensated. It is coupled with the next zero tracking range parameter.
The unit of this parameter is the tenth of second; to set a time of one second, it is therefore necessary
to write 10. The parameter is disabled by inserting the 0 value.
R 0 TR ZERO TRACKING RANGE. This parameter defines an interval of weight inside which any
variations of zero must be compensated. It is coupled with the previous zero tracking time. The unit
of this parameter is the under-division that corresponds to a tenth of the division of the visualised
weight.
P MASS MAXIMUM RANGE. This parameter defines a weight value above which the display locks the
weight reading and shows ------. The value has the same unit as the weight. Insert 0 or a value above
the full scale of the balance to disable this function. This parameter is used to avoid an overload of the
load cells.
STABLE WEIGHT. As Stable weight is intended the recognition of the condition of firm weight by the
instrument. By means of the stable weight time and stable weight range parameters the instrument
can detect this condition even if the weight is not perfectly firm. When the weight remain within the
stable weight range for a time higher of the stable weight time then the weight is considered
stationary. The detection of stable weight is used in automatically when the precise value of a weighing
has to be printed, memorised or transmitted on the serial line.
T PST STABLE WEIGHT TIME. This parameter defines a time interval that, when elapsed, a firm weight
is considered as stable. It is coupled to the following stable weight range. The unit of this parameter
is the tenth of second; to set a time of one second, it is therefore necessary to write 10. As normal
value is used 20. This value can be reduced if the recognition of stable weight has to be faster; anyway
the suggestion is not to set a value lower of 04.
R PST STABLE WEIGHT RANGE. This parameter defines an interval of weight inside which the weight
is considered stable. It is coupled with the previous stable weight time. As normal value is used 1
that corresponds to a stable weight detected within ± 1 minimum reading unit. If the recognition of
stable weight is required in not perfect stability conditions too (for external causes such as vibrations,
wind, etc.) then this value can be slightly increased.
MONOT MONOTONY. Monotony intends the recognition of the condition of weight in movement carried
out by the instrument. This parameter damps all weight variations caused by vibrations, wind etc. till
the weight is not recognised in movement, (that is to say, when the material is really loaded or
discharged). The unit of this parameter is the tenth of second; to set a time equal to a second, it will be
therefore necessary to write 10. As a normal value is used 4. It can be useful to increase it when the
visualisation at firm weight is not stable.
DIGITAL FILTER. Digital filter intends the software function which allows the reading of weight to be stabilised
and the oscillations which are not attenuated by the analog filter, to be damped. This damping can be

SD-01: set point version Manual N°SE0001E0 vers. 1.0

carried out by setting properly the digital filter range and digital filter average afterwards
described.
FIN DIGITAL FILTER RANGE. This parameter represents the interval of weight inside which the next
parameter of reading mean will be activated. In normal conditions the value is 50. In case of weights
which are subjected to oscillations, it is convenient to increase this value of some units. If the
instrument is used in optimum conditions and at the maximum resolution it is possible to decrease the
value at 5.
N LETT DIGITAL FILTER MEAN. This parameter defines a number of conversions which must be used
to calculate the internal averages for damping. As a normal value it has to be used 20. It can be useful
to increase it when there are slow oscillations only, since they make difficult the stability of weight (i.e.
with weighing on a crane).
TAUTO AUTOMATIC TARE. It enables or inhibits the automatic tare function ( with stable weight) below
a threshold value that can be set. If a value other than zero is entered in the parameter, the function is
enabled: when the weight falls below the set value, once stable, the weight will be set to zero.
