ORDER

Government of Andhra Pradesh, in G.O. first read above, dt.02.08.2018, have

constituted a Committee chaired by Vice Chairman, AP Planning Board, for
establishment of Steel Plant in Kadapa District, AP. The objective of the Committee
was to explore various options for establishment of integrated Steel plant in Kadapa
district and also negotiate with the Government of India to take up necessary
amendments to existing laws and to provide certain incentives to facilitate setting up
of proposed plant in Private and Public partnership.

2. The 1st meeting of the AP Steel Plant Committee was held on 20.08.2018 at
Block-I, A.P Secretariat, Velagapudi, where the committee members deliberated that
it is necessary that GoAP takes control of all the suspended mines, which are
currently under litigation in the Hon’ble Supreme Court, so that they can be allocated
for the steel plant as soon as possible, to ensure that some progress can be made in
the direction of setting up of the steel plant.

3. Subsequently, on 30.10.2018, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sri N. Chandrababu

Naidu, chaired a meeting with Hon’ble Minister for Mines as well as members of the
AP Steel Plant Committee, to review the status and progress made towards setting up
of the proposed Integrated Steel Plant in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh.

4. Accordingly, in the G.O. 4th read above, Government have issued orders for
Formation of a 100 % state owned company, tentatively named “Rayalaseema Steel
Corporation Limited”, towards setting up of the Steel Plant (Steel Plant SPV) and
Formation of a JV between the Rayalaseema Steel Corporation Limited and APMDC
(Mining SPV) for taking up Mining & Supply of Iron ore to the Steel Plant.

5. In the G.O. 5th read above, Government have issued orders creating a new
post i.e. Chairman and Managing Director of Rayalaseema Steel Corporation Limited,
in connection with for setting up a new steel plant in YSR Kadapa District.

6. After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby appoint Sri P.

Madhusudan, former C&MD of RINL as the Chairman and Managing Director of
Rayalaseema Steel Corporation Limited, for setting up a new steel plant in YSR
Kadapa District. Initially, Sri P. Madusudan shall also act as the Chairman and
Managing Director of the JV company formed between Rayalaseema Steel
Corporation Limited and APMDC also, till further orders.

7. The DMG / VC & MD, APMDC shall take necessary action accordingly in the
matter.
