Every freelancer, whatever their speciality, is looking for new
revenue-streams. New ways of making money that enhances their mainstream offering, requires no new overheads, and requires no new skills.
Ideally, it should also differentiate them from their competitors –
another value-added service to enhance their portfolio.
In one of our sessions, for example, we looked at a subset of PR
services, which can exactly fit the bill.

In this last session we looked at ‘Infomercials’, and I have one of my
students, G H Sarjos in Atlanta to thank for this suggestion.
Increasingly, clients are looking to add mini informational videos to
their websites, and they turn to freelancers to write the copy. But why stop there? Why not offer a one-stop-shop? The beauty is that you don’t need to know anything about video production - experts do that for you - for peanuts.
We looked at GH’s infomercial, and as a pest control-expert, I’m sure
he knows NOTHING about video production. Here’s a link to view it properly, at proper resolution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5pT5jxVpg8&feature=youtu.be
It needn’t be expensive
If you know how, a professional TV presenter, doing the filming,
editing, everything - can cost you just $50. That’s just £30 in REAL money!
This is one I did for my own website for new writers:
http://www.the-writers-guru.com/
But just imagine – an extra service on your website – Informational
Videos ‘without the hassle, from script to completion’.
So how do you find low cost, TV or video presenters? Easy, you visit a website dedicated to providing services for five dollars: http://fiverr.com/
The $5 I a bit misleading, but the complete video example I just
showed you, nearly one and a half minutes, including editing, everything cost me just $50.
To find a pro presenter at fiverr, just do a search for ‘video presenter’
and you’ll find loads, each with a mini video clip to check out how they look, how they sound. Here’s some I just found: And if you’ve reached the stage where you’re now earning some money from your copywriting, why not have your OWN informational video on YOUR website? For $50 dollars you could add a million bucks to your sales pitch.
