A. RATIONALE
Electricity is a form of energy that is carried through wires and is used to operate machines, lights,
etc. This means that we need electricity for our everyday life, for us to work easily, for us to be
entertained and to bring us comfort. Electricity is very important but sometimes we experience
low voltages or usually brownout or blackout. People here in El Nido is currently facing this
problems.
Plastics are one of the most common and known material in our daily lives. Regarding about the
improper waste disposal problems, the amount percentage of plastic waste are abundant than the
others. So the researchers come up with the idea to why not take advantage of these plastics than
disposing them.
The researchers decided to make an improvised mini air cooler made from plastic bottles. This
mini air cooler is not just environmental friendly but can also be use even without electricity. In
OUTCOOMES
This study was conducted to give convenience to the user. This can also decrease the electricity
fragment because this uses batteries instead of electricity. The researcher’s objectives are to save
money from buying expensive fans, to feel fresh and cool even without electricity and to

B. 1. HYPOTHESIS
There is no significant difference between the commercial cooler and the improvised mini
cooler.
B. 2. ENGINEERING GOALS
The researchers will make an improvised mini cooler made from plastic bottles which can be
used in El Nido, most especially when there’s no source of electricity. The methods of making it

C. 3. COLLECTION OF MATERIALS
The MINI AIR COOLER is made up of plastic bottles, wires, dynamo and batteries. These
materials will be gathered by the researchers at M-8 hardware at brgy. Maligaya, El Nido,
Researchers will use gloves, googles and other materials to protect them from any harm.
