Aim:

To explore forms and spaces for exhibitions and designed museums spaces.

Objectives:

• To understand the evolution of museum spaces from paradigm (model or collection of existing place) to designed
museum spaces.
• Understanding the form, concept and spatial evolution synthesis in modern museums.
• To understand the materialization of concepts into physical entities and their analysis.
• To explore various typology of exhibits and their design along with their purposes.

Scope:

This research shall be on the study of:


• Evolution and exploration of designed museum spaces.
• Various aspects of museum design and briefly study the conceptualization of museum spaces as to why they are built
and how they derived their form.
• The material used as per the climatic conditions and also keeping in mind the new technologies.
• Development of museum concepts and exhibition spaces along with its changing purpose and importance;
• How the museum spaces gained importance culturally and educationally rather than only having an historical
significance and purpose of conservation.
• Different typologies of the museum.

Limitation:

This research shall only talk about the designed museum spaces and not about the converted spaces if historical times into
museums.
This is the study of the era in which the museum spaces become an institute for educational and cultural purpose and not of
the era before that.
