DAILY LESSON LOG IN SCIENCE GRADE 10

SECOND QUARTER SY 2019-2020

Date: AUGUST , 2019 Teacher: MERRIE ANNE P. BAGSIC

Day: 1 School: LAWY HIGH SCHOOL

I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the different regions of electromagnetic spectrum.

B. Performance Standards
The learners shall be able to know how do the regions in the electromagnetic spectrum differ in terms
of wavelength, frequency and energy.

C. Learner’s Competencies/Code
The learners should be able to compare the relative wavelengths, frequencies and energies of the
different regions of the electromagnetic spectrum./S10FE-IIa-b47
*Specific Objectives ( 3 Skills a Day)
1. Cognitive

2. Psychomotor

3. Affective
II. LEARNING CONTENT Topic: Quiz on the EM Sub Topic: Electromagnetic Spectrum
Spectrum
III. LEARNING RESOURCES
A. REFERENCES

1. Teachers Guide Pages pp. 130-131; Unit 2; Module 2

2. Learner’s Materials Pages pp. 165-166; Unit 2; Module 2
3.Textbook Pages
4.Additional Materials from LR Portal
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_spectrum

B. Other Learning Resources

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previews lesson or presenting the new lesson.
Ask the students to recite the different regions of electromagnetic spectrum. Tell them that with the
previous discussion on the electromagnetic spectrum, the teacher will check if they really do
understand the topic.
B. Establishing a purpose to the lesson.
C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson.

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1.

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2.
F. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #3.
G. Developing Mastery
H. Finding practical application of concepts and skills in daily living.
I. Making Generalization and Abstraction about the lesson
J. Evaluate Learning
On a whole sheet of paper (or quiz notebook), ask them to answer page 165-166 of their module. They
were given 15 minutes (or more) to answer the questions.
K. Additional Activities for Application or Remediation
If some of the students were not able to get the 80% of the test given, ask those with the lowest score
to search this website, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_spectrum and tell them to write the
important points about the electromagnetic spectrum and their importance.

V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION
L. No. of learners who earned 80% in the Evaluation

M. No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation who scored below 80%
N. Did the remedial work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson
O. No. of learners who continue to require remediation
P. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did this work?
Q. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or superior can help me solve?
R. What innovations or localized materials did I used/discovered which I wish to share with other teachers?
