Project AIM

Consider yourself a creative member of a giant team of around 215 Graphic Designers,
working for a Project aiming at creation of digitally designed “Life Stories of Renowned
Souls”.

Deliverables
Each student, as a team member, will be creating a digitally designed poster on the life
history & work of the chosen personality (A3 Size), going through various sub-processes
(phases) of Graphics Design. And eventually submit the soft as well as hard copy of the
final design.

Project Title Submission

Study about the biography of any one famous personality from the assigned field/area only, and
submit the Project Topic (i.e., the name of the chosen Personality) to your Lab Instructors. No
repetition of topic is allowed.

As of now, the draft designs of posters on paper are ready, discussed with Lab instructors & to a
certain extent finalized by all students and teachers.

Now, the next step is to start creating the background of your poster in photoshop. For this, you
need to remember –

1. Poster will be created in A3 Size.

2. File resolution will be 300 ppi & color mode will be CMYK, keeping it same as printer’s color
mode & resolution, and hence there will be deterioration in the quality of your designs
(colors as well as image clarity) while printing the final poster.

3. Start making your poster background in photoshop (keep all layers safe) & save your file
as .psd.

4. Choose the background color & design relevant to your theme only. No direct photographic
backgrounds are allowed. It has to be a digitally designed background and should be your
own work right from the scratch. Though you can use photos in the creation of the
background design.

5. Title of the poster has to be designed in Photoshop only. You can keep it at any place on
the poster as per your draft design. It can be with or without Title bar. If you choose it to be
with a title bar, the bar has to be designed in the same phase.
