Training in Child Protection Procedures and Mandatory Reporting training is a requirement for all staff
working in Catholic Schools and Care Centres in Western Australia. As per the Registration Standards
and other requirements for Non Government Schools, Standard 4.5b, all staff to participate in
professional learning covering Mandatory Reporting obligations and all school policies and procedures
at least every two years.
For those who have completed an initial face to face training, only need to complete the online training
every two years. Access is via the CLANED portal https://cewa.claned.com. Your school principal will be
able to provide further details to access this. The Online course is approximately 75 minutes in duration
and requires 100% pass mark for accreditation registered through myHR.
Alternatively you may decide to participate in one our face to face sessions in Geraldton in order to
maintain your currency for work. We are running the training twice in order to meet varying schedules
of schools and staff - If you wish to attend face to face training you only need to attend ONE OF THESE
EVENINGS. There is a short test at the end which you can attempt numerous times before leaving with
your accreditation registered through myHR.
