Abstrack
In this paper, researchers practitioners explain how to be a good teacher. By
asking some questions or by developing problems to find out how to be a good
teacher. With such instructions as being a willing teacher, doing different ways for
different people, giving students with feelings (or giving something for them to
endure) and also provide some teaching methods. In a company of corporate
enterprise and the leading authority is a successful teacher. With them taking the
decision has included certain steps of their own to pass on what they have learned
to others or to their employees.

Being An Upright Person With Integrity

The personal integrity of a teacher is an important thing. Albert Einstein (1879-
1955) said "morality is of the highest importance but for us , not for god". Being a
teacher of integrity and being upright is not easy. Such integrity is being a
straight, honest, faithful teacher and commitment. By doing what other people ask
is already another person's trust. A teacher needs to act in the best interests of her
students and to prepare for the future as a nation's next generation. Conficius said
"Man's existence lies in his integrityl. A man without integrity can exits merely
through his luck" ( conficius of analects VI:19 ). In this case is about a upright
teacher against his students. A teacher has to have the right character and
motivation in it with a purpose to convey good knowledge to future generations.
Integrity was tested when he was a teacher. Like the example of a student who
can't then ask, and the teacher will have to be able to figure out what to say to
answer the student's questions. So a teacher's own integrity is very important.

Applying Different Strokes For Different Folks

Being a teacher has to show kindness to a student. Just as love is. An interview
said "Peter a man, 64 years old a retired Singapore banker once told me that one
day he complained to his friend about his driver that the driver couldn't
understand and didn't follow his instructions while driving a car. On several
occasions he ordered his driver to drive on the road with his guidance, but his

driver did not follow his instructions on a further route to the destination. He said
that his driver was stupid. But his friend answers that your driver is smarter than
you." from the story it can be concluded that everyone has a different way of
developing their ponds. Just like teachers, teachers have to have a way of knowing
the potential that the student has and nurturing them to develop the potential of the
student.

Being Credible Helps

Every student has a trusted teacher. Being a teacher to be trusted can influence
students is to be persuasive and able to convince the student to be trustworthy. To
speak softly and honest so as to the will of the students, including the approach to
the students. Also, teachers have to beexamples to those students.

Checking Orderliness And Having An Engaging Learning Place or Setting

Being a good teacher should be able to manage the class. Because if the class is in
a state of power the students can receive, understand and follow the lessons well.
Besides teacher in teaching it easily and better. Teachers in teaching should also
be on the topic that are taught and sequentially. The good teacher also has to
prepare properly delivered materially so as to benefit the student. Besides the
material needed to be prepared is the classroom.The classroom should be at the
design as comfortable as possible. To be prepared in the classroom usually is the
neatness of class equipment, adequate lighting, a comfortable class atmosphere.

Engaging In Continuous Learning to Enrich One's Knowledge

Teachers have always taught the scholars. A good teacher has always encouraged
siswany to be patient and kind. Moreover, the good teacher has always guided the
trainees according to the potential of the students. Teachers are also one of the
source of the science. It means that our teacher always knows the things they don't
know about. So that the teacher becomes an important role in learning. Teachers
are also very rich in science so that they can digest everyone.

Introduction
The teacher is the second parent in the school who is able to educate,
provide knowledge and facilitate students to learn. Do not forget, the teacher is
also a good role model for students so that they can be a good example. From this,
of course we realize that a teacher plays a very important role in the world of
education to educate the life of the nation. The teacher can bring a huge positive
impact on the lives of his students. Instilling his beliefs in students also influences
the formation of a child's character. Seeing the influence of teachers is so large, of
course our nation needs teachers who are competent and have good character in
educating students.
The identity of a teacher is a reflection of the future of his students.
Therefore, the higher the quality of a teacher the more qualified students will be.
However, teachers are also ordinary people who have weaknesses and weaknesses
in carrying out their daily tasks. That is why, besides teaching, a teacher is also
studying.

Engaging Knowledge and Opening New Horizons

In my opinion, to be a good teacher needs to expand knowledge and open
new horizons. This is because educating must adjust the times experienced by
students and technology that have changed the learning world so quickly.
Therefore, the teacher must be able to explore all of his potential and abilities. The
teacher must be familiar with various scientific sources and information media
both print and electronic. The teacher strives to keep abreast of the times so that
his thinking horizons will be open and get a lot of information to add discourse in
conducting innovative and creative learning activities.
Based on this, it can be said that the teacher as a learner who constantly
learns and develops himself at any time and anywhere to improve his quality. The
purpose of learning here is not only focused on learning in the book, but also

learning from others so that the teacher can take positive values from each other's
learning.

Being Persuasive and Motivating

A good teacher must also have good persuasive communication skills. Just
as when a teacher assures his students that a sub-competency will appear in the
daily test, making students learn the sub-competencies delivered by the teacher
because they feel the need to learn it. This is where the role of persuasive
communication will be seen and will be able to realize the goals of the
communication, in this case to provide perceptions and understanding of learning
material to students.
In addition, persuasive communication can support the smooth
implementation of the learning process that is able to bring up student motivation.
The nature of persuasive communication that persuades can convince students,
that the material delivered is very important to understand. So students will
automatically be motivated to learn the material taught. With persuasive
communication, teachers are able to invite students to interact well without any
coercion so that motivation to learn will emerge from within students.

Pausing or Slowing Down the Students to Sink In

A good teacher must have a strategy that can be used to make students
respond to learning positively. When teaching, the teacher must pay attention to
pauses or transitions, especially when moving from one activity to another. Pause
or transition that takes too long will reduce the energy and attention of students.
Whereas a rushed transition will tend to confuse students. Therefore, teachers
should estimate the factors that can affect the learning gap. For example collecting
tasks, returning or taking learning equipment, distributing and collecting books,
etc. Routine things like the example should be equipped with procedures so that
students are accustomed to doing it.
The teacher also needs to pay attention to students who complete tasks
faster than the time allocated. In order not to disturb other students, the teacher
can provide choices of activities to these students, for example helping other
students, reading books, or doing other more challenging assignments. Another

thing that affects the gap in learning is the delivery of new material. New material
should be delivered little by little so students have time to understand the
information conveyed.

Applying A Variety of Ways of Teaching

A good teacher needs to pay attention to the way he teaches students. This
is indicated by the use of learning media during the teaching and learning process.
The media used can be video, power point, concept map, etc. depending on the
creativity of the teacher. The goal is that students are more interested in
participating in learning and what must be emphasized here is the selection of
media must be in accordance with the material to be delivered. Therefore, teachers
are required to continue to develop and become teachers who are able to apply
innovative learning in teaching and learning activities.
In addition, the teacher must also be able to apply the inserted learning
with jokes so that students are not tense. Teaching with joy is indeed difficult
especially the character of the teacher who is different, but at least the teacher
must learn to be closer to the students that is the key to make learning more
enjoyable.

Preventing Bad Habits Before They Appear

Students' bad habits are caused by various factors, either from the teacher
or the students themselves. An example is chatting when the teacher explains and
plays his own cellphone. Therefore, before this happens the teacher needs to carry
out socialization about motivation to students. The motivation given can be in the
form of short lectures conducted before or after the learning process. In addition,
when students have felt bored and bored with the material presented, a good
teacher changes the strategy or method of learning according to the actual
conditions of the student. And, the use of learning media also needs to be
considered because there are students who are able to learn fast in audio-visual
and non-audio-visual ways.

Being A Role Model

Monkeys see, monkeys do, and interestingly, people from the leaders; the leaders
show by their actions and ways (Low and Theyagu, 2003). In my opinion the
statement is true, when someone learn from the leader, the leader must be a good
example in every action and method. Because the most important assessment is
about ethics. As smart as anything leader, she(he) will not to be seen as a good
leader when his(her) ethics are not good.
As well as the teacher, must be a good role-model for students. A simple example
is saying a good word to students, wear neat clothes and etc. the success educating
student is not only measured by the value in the form of numbers but the success
of transforming moral values to students. So, being the role-model benefits
students is very important to be a good teacher.

Being Ever Willing & Having A Loving Heart to Teach

Being a teacher ever willing for student is very important. Because the
characteristic to be a good teacher is s(he) will be willing to help his(her) students
under any circumstances, even though the teacher is having a problem. But a good
teachers will always helps students who are desperate because they not understand
the material or having personal problem. The teacher will always ask if the
student is fine.
Beside that, a tacher ought to get to know the student because this helps to build
the teacher’s rapport with student. The most student are motivated when teachers
“communicate personal interest in student by calling them by name, initiating
conversations with them before or after class, asking questions during class and
referring to “our” class.

Have a Sense of Humor

The task of a teacher is not only master teaching material, but also to understand
about the material of effective and enjoyable learning methods. For example,
inserting fresh humor that educates each learning process, because it can make the

class situation not boring, enliven the class and making learning more enjoyable
for the students. So, this is very important to be a good a teacher.

Being Disciplined & Orderliness In Teaching

A teacher cannot successfully teach his/her student s(he) is not in control of the
class. If a teacher’s teaching style cannot reach out to everyone, the students can
become bored, disinterested and restless. On the one hand, if a teacher is able to
discipline the class and can reach out to students by using a variety of teaching
methods, they would be motivated and would less likely to cause trouble in one’s
teaching. On the other hand, the weaker student has no desire to learn because
they may have tried to understand or that they don’t have the discipline to study.
As a result, they don’t feel like to study and they don’t do their homework. Worse
still, parent’s at home do not have the time to look after and no time for them.
Therefore, it is the teacher’s duty to instill discipline in student. To instill this
discipline must be started within ourselves, then we can discipline others. For
example, come to class on time. Students will not be disciplined when they see
their teacher undisciplined.

Learning More Than The Student

Never stop learning. The teacher keeps on learning. Learning is indeed limitless.
Moreover, becoming a teacher you have to keep learning so that your knowledge
becomes wider. Even when the teacher teaches in class there will be questions or
statements from students who will digs deeper and learns more. If the teacher
master the material, students will more easily understand the material taught.

Giving Students Carrots And Incentives (Or Giving Them Something to Hold
Onto)
There are many learning methods that teaches use to make students more active in
learning. One of them, giving them something to hold onto. The purpose of this
learning method is to instill student’s interest in learning. This method of giving
praises and apreciation, student will be motivated to enjoy learning and give
attention to students to learn and encourage student activities so that learning is
more directed. A compliment or award can be done with speech, writing, even

giving things. Therefore, this very important to do especially to become a good
teacher.

Being Discipline
The most important thing in the learning process is classroom
management. A Teacher cannot successfully on his/her duty if he/she cannot
control class. If the teacher's learning style cannot reach all students, it will make
students feel bored, uninterested, and restless. A teacher must be good at assessing
how each student learns so that he/she can apply the learning style according to
the circumstances of his/her students.
If the teacher success in applying the learning style according to the
circumstances of the students, there will be a small chance for problems to occur
in learning but on the other hand there are weak students who do not have the
enthusiasm to learn, their parents do not have time to care for and discipline them.
If the teacher is too busy and does not have time for them, the worst possibility is
that students will become weak students and will be drop out from school.
Therefore the role of the teacher here is very important so that the teacher wants to
help these students because they need encouragement, inspiration, guidance, and
most importantly, discipline to study.

Being Selfless, Caring, And Putting In Much Effort

To be a good teacher should indeed be selfless. A teacher must prioritize
weak students rather than good students.More effort and energy is needed from
the teacher to teach weak students. If a teacher does not have love and patience for
weak students, he/she is not a good teacher and is not suitable to be a teacher. A
good teacher will give all time and energy to all students selflessly and do not
expect any reward. A teacher will be a good teacher if he/she is fair and does not
distinguish between weak students and good students, he will consider all students
like his/her children, care, and show concern to all students.

Applying Dramas And Using Metaphors And Analogies To Enhance
Learning
Research shows that an important characteristic of effective teachers is the
ability to present difficult or complex concepts in ways that students can
understand, through the use of metaphors, analogies, and examples (erickson,
peters and srommer, 2006; Schwartz and Bransford, 1998; Stones, 1992). a
teacher may not teach in a monotonous way and repeat lessons continuously just
to make students understand, because this will actually make students frustrated
and bored so that they cannot learn well and will lose the essence of learning.
In addition, an outstanding teacher is a simple but expressive. Which can
make students understand the lesson well using unexpected ways that are simple
and easy to understand by all students.

Having a Positive Attitude

A possitive attitude will certainly help one cope with these in the best way. When
one faces disruptions such as magpies in class, to much talking or the likes and if
one thinks positively, one would respond well and manage the class better. A
good teacher can, it fact, promote discussion or engage students arising from such
circumstances. One can perhaps say that there are certain core values that one
should possess in order to enable one to become a good teacher.

Concluding Remarks
We must believe that the future belongs to young people. Therefore we
have a great responsibility to educate, provide the foundation needed to build a
world where they and future generations can flourish. We as teachers have a duty
to educate students as good as we can everywhere and anytime. That is the reason
why there is no limit to study because as teachers we also need to continue to
learn and improve our quality before improving the quality of our students.
Overall, teaching through a variety of strategies and ways to enable teachers to
improve their teaching methods while learning through various strategies causes
teachers and students to learn in a smarter and better way. and good teachers
should realize that variety is really the spice of life and learning, and students
indeed enjoy a mixture and combination of learning styles.

Conclusion of the Journal Review

In the world of education, we see important elements that have a great

influence on the progress of education. Related to the advancement of education,
these elements which are very active in it are the figure of a teacher. Becoming a
teacher is easy, but to be a good teacher needs to have good teaching to the
students. From this, of course we realize that a teacher plays a very important role
in the world of education to educate the life of the nation. Teachers are good role
models for students so they can be good examples. This is because the teacher is
one of the sources of knowledge which must be patient in guiding students
according to their potential. However, at this time the teacher must also be able to
keep up with the times that exist so that his thinking horizons will be open and get
a lot of information to add discourse in conducting innovative and creative
learning activities.

Not only that, in terms of class management, teachers need to provide

moral values to students so that students will have high discipline in learning. In
addition, what needs to be considered is the various characteristics of students so
that full love is needed in protecting students. Especially when students are bored
or have problems that can interfere with the learning process, the teacher is
required to be able to condition the class. For example, in giving motivation and
also inserting a pleasant sense of humor. Therefore, teachers may not be unfair
and discriminate between students who have more ability and students who have
less ability.

Based on this, the identity of a teacher is a reflection of the future of his

students. Therefore, the higher the quality of a teacher the more qualified students
will be. So, the teacher needs to check whether the teaching currently done is
appropriate or not. If not, then it is very important to be a good teacher because it
can make teaching and learning activities useful, especially for students and other
school communities.
