Industry Oriented Masters: All regular M.

Tech taught courses in these institutes are industry

oriented and you have high chances of securing core placement. One very interesting option if you
are interested in analog/Mixed-signal design would be M.S by research in IIT-M (TI analog program)
with very high chances of ending up in TI as AMS Designer.

1. IISc Bangalore

2. IIT M, IIT B, IIT D, IIT KGP, IIT K, IIT G

3. NIT Trichy, NITK Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut

Companies Recruiting Would be: Intel, qualcomm, AMD, Synopsys. ARM, Broadcom, Nvidia, Texas
Instruments, Cyprus Semi, Sandisc,Cadence Etc.

Research: Many IITs and IISc offer M.S/ M.Tech by research degree which will take upto 3 years to
complete would be a good option if you are looking for research.

Best in specific domain would be:

Analog VLSI Design: IIT Madras - group of Prof. Shanti Pavan and Prof. krishnapura

This group have amazing track record and I would place this group in Top 5 research groups in
world for Analog and Mixed Signal design. They are publishing papers consistently in journals like
IEEE JSSC, IEEE TCAS-1, and top-notch conferences like ISSCC, CICC, ISCAS etc.

Digital VLSI Design in IIT Bombay - Another good option with very good research

Low-Power VLSI in IISc Bangalore - Prof. Amrutur Bharadwaj is well known and his group is very
active in Low-Power Digital/Mixed Signal Design and Memory Design

All the best
