Marketing Vacuum systems are the most common type of actuation in
description / pneumatic handling systems. They can be found in a wide Overall outcome range of production applications throughout all major industries. Thus, knowledge about the maintenance, repair, component selection criteria and the use of vacuum technology is of crucial importance for the successful running and operation of the production lines in a company. Due to the characteristics of vacuum technology, people who deal with vacuum systems need to have specific competences, which are different from those required for other pneumatic systems. To help people acquire these competences, Festo Didactic has developed this one-day training course, which gives participants a compact introduction into the main aspects of vacuum technology. The theoretical input of the course is complemented by practical exercises which reflect actual vacuum applications in production facilities. Training outcomes Having attended the training course, the participants can: understand the generation and provision of vacuum design vacuum circuits select and dimension suction cups interpret the material properties of vacuum handling systems interpret the vacuum generator properties Customer benefits Companies can use the know-how of the participant(s) to optimise their vacuum applications and safeguard the trouble- free operation of their vacuum systems. Festo benefits For a Festo company, the training course delivers an easy-to- perform entry into the topic “vacuum training”, as the training course can usually be held by each pneumatics trainer without a TtT-programme. The training may be a one-day training course or can be an add-on module for a pneumatic training course. Thus, the registration barrier for participants is low.
