VII. Narrative Report

Learning does not only take place within the four walls of the classroom and

within the confines of the traditional school day. For an instance, students can gain new

learnings by joining various co-curricular activities or just participating in a school

educational tour.

Going on a fieldtrip outside the school campus can increase student’s knowledge

through active practical experiences. As a matter of fact, the University of Batangas

conducted an Educational Tour in Biak-na-Bato Nature Park in San Miguel, Bulacan

and Star City in Pasay, Manila held last April 8, 2019 with the aim of gathering to a

depth and clear understanding of Readings in Philippine History (RPH)

At around 2:00 in the morning, all UBians are gathered at the front part of the

Batangas Provincial Capitol, where all busses are located. The distribution of busses

particularly those seats were all facilitated by the RPH professors. After an hour, the

busses were departed from Batangas at 3:00 a.m. and drop off in the area of San

Miguel Bulacan at around 9:30 a.m.

The first destination was the Biak-na-Bato Nature Park which was considered as

the rest of freedom fighters during the Philippine-Spanish war. It was located 12

kilometers from the municipality of San Miguel. The journey started by visiting the caves

of Yungib II, Yungib III, Tanggapan and Ambush cave which are rich of stalagmites and

stalactites, types of rock formation that rises from floors or ceilings of the caves.

Furthermore, there were long up and down river trails that led the students to other

caves like the Aguinaldo Cave and the Bahay Paniqui. It was a tiring moment for most

of the students since trekking throughout the rails really requires much amount of

energy building up a strong physical body.

Then after a few minutes of travel from San Miguel, Bulacan, all busses were

finally moved at the Star City in Pasay. But before entering the amusement park,

UBians first ate their dinner so that they could totally enjoy being a child again inside.

There are lots of rides such as Roller Coaster, Jungle River, Star Flier, Surf Dance,

Ferris Wheel and many more that brought back the childhood memories of every

student. Aside from numerous rides, there are more shocking activities that made the

students scream and shout like Bahay ng Lagim which consists of out of these world

creatures. After the never-ending happiness and enjoyment, all UBians were ordered to

go back at their respective busses since it was already 8:00 in the evening and the time

to travel back to Batangas, because it always good to be at home.
