Work Mode Revise

Information on New Work Mode System

1.1 Work Mode Operation in New(Simplified) System


The intention of this change can be summarized as
(1) Definite difference among each Work Mode
(2) Cost Savings by simplifying control valve and its system

(1) Leveling Mode


Basically nothing has changed.
In old style, Arm Priority Valve was not activated and arm 2 was disabled either to give
definite boom priority.
Boom1, boom 2, arm 1 work.
(2) Digging Mode
Nothing has changed.
Boom 1, boom 2, arm 1, arm 2 work.

(3) Trenching Mode


Boom 2 spool is disabled to give swing priority over boom raise.
Boom 1, arm 1, arm 2 work.

2. Changes in Parts

2.1 Changes in Control Valve


(1) AP Valve
In old style AP valve openings depends on external pilot pressure so that the flow to Arm 2
spool was controlled.
In New Style AP valve is a fixed orifice, not a pilot controlled one.

The difference between Overseas version and Korean version lies at opening area, which is
implemented by assembly sequence of inner parts as below. In overseas arrangement
connection from Parallel Passage to U Bridge is closed, in Korean arrangement opened
through holes in AP spool.

(2) SP Valve
In old style SP valve throttles the flow to boom 2 spool to get higher pressure and faster swing
acceleration over boom speed. In new style SP valve is deleted and boom 2 function is
disabled while trenching mode.

2.2 Changes in Solenoid Valve
(1) Crawler Excavator (5 Solenoid Valve)
Solenoid valve block is changed so that they are not interchangeable each other. In New style
pilot pressures from boom raise and arm crowd are fed to upstream of solenoid valve.

(2) Wheel Excavator (3 Solenoid Valve)


Solenoid valve block is changed so that they are not interchangeable each other. In New style
pilot pressures from boom raise and arm crowd are fed to upstream of solenoid valve.

2.3 Changes in Electric Parts


There is no change in Monitor display, controller. The same parts no.
