Each of the experiment descriptions in this manual includes a list of suggested references
for that particular experiment. These references may be of a general or very specialized
nature providing both experimental as well as theoretical background. The following bibli-
ography is a list of books that we consider to be useful in a general sense, providing infor-
mation about experiments as well as the tools and techniques used to carry out measure-
ments. Note also that the American Journal of Physics "Resource Letters" are always very
good for starting a literature search. Specific ones are mentioned in the references given
with the experiment descriptions.
