CAREER HISTORY 
 
2016-19 Full-Time Parent/ Carer 
Since  2016,  I  have  raised  first  one  and  then  two  children  wiith  limited  support.  I  believe 
that  from  this  I  have  gained  the  following skills: Time management skills with the ability to 
prioritize,  problem-solving,  crisis  management  with  excellent  communication  skills, 
adaptability  at  short  or  no  notice,  responsibility  for  and  attentiveness  to  the  needs  of 
others,  working  to  deliver  the  best  possible  standards  of  cleanliness  and  hygiene,  carrying 
out  any  requests  within  reason,  and consistently providing a high standard of care provision 
during early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. 
 
2018 Postal Worker 
I was sorting parcels in a warehouse environment, for delivery to every part of the UK as 
well as internationally, working as part of a team to meet very tight deadlines during the 
Christmas rush with speed and complete accuracy. 
 
2018 Bookseller 
I was a volunteer bookseller at Books for Amnesty answering customer queries and handling 
purchases at the till, packing and sending online orders, judging and pricing new stock. 
 
2014 – 2016 ESOL Teacher, Vietnam 
 
I  moved  to  Hanoi  in  2014  and  spent  one  and  a  half  years  teaching  English  as  a  foreign 
language  to  primary  and  secondary  school  students  and  to  adult  professionals,  at  a  wide 
range  of  different  state  schools  and  privately-run  language  centres.  I  was  responsible  for 
making  my  own  lesson  plans,  communicating  effectively  with  people  from  different 
backgrounds,  motivating  people  to  learn,  travelling  distances  around  the  city  meeting 
commitmentments  in  different  locations,  maintaining  high  standards  under  pressure,  and 
learning new skills at short notice.
