Since 2016, I have raised first one and then two children wiith limited support. I believe
that from this I have gained the following skills: Time management skills with the ability to
prioritize, problem-solving, crisis management with excellent communication skills,
adaptability at short or no notice, responsibility for and attentiveness to the needs of
others, working to deliver the best possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene, carrying
out any requests within reason, and consistently providing a high standard of care provision
during early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
2018 Postal Worker
I was sorting parcels in a warehouse environment, for delivery to every part of the UK as
well as internationally, working as part of a team to meet very tight deadlines during the
Christmas rush with speed and complete accuracy.
2018 Bookseller
I was a volunteer bookseller at Books for Amnesty answering customer queries and handling
purchases at the till, packing and sending online orders, judging and pricing new stock.
2014 – 2016 ESOL Teacher, Vietnam
I moved to Hanoi in 2014 and spent one and a half years teaching English as a foreign
language to primary and secondary school students and to adult professionals, at a wide
range of different state schools and privately-run language centres. I was responsible for
making my own lesson plans, communicating effectively with people from different
backgrounds, motivating people to learn, travelling distances around the city meeting
commitmentments in different locations, maintaining high standards under pressure, and
learning new skills at short notice.
