II. Abstract
The mental health of students is an area of
increasing concern worldwide (Bayram, 2008).
Students load of school works, peer-pressure,
academic demands, and test anxiety are one of
the leading causes of stress that can trigger teen
depression in addition, having an issues can
significantly gives an impact through self-
esteem, such as obesity, peer problems, etc.
(Mayo Clinic, 2018). The objective of this study
is to give the counselor an insight to an issue of
what problem to be focus on students that seeks
counseling needs and examine the rates of
depression and anxiety among the students in a
school in Pasig City. The researchers conducted
a survey in the students' respective classrooms
by a total of 41 students that answers the survey,
giving the topic a yielding response rate of 70%
as the top most counselling issue that are needed
to focus on. Depression and anxiety symptoms
is alarming. The study gives an illustration of
needs for preventing such things to happen by
giving the much focus, prior knowledge, and
deep insight of the topic.

Statement
/ProblemStatement
The project is all about the different situations that the
learner's undergo that affects their behavior and
feelings that entail the need of developmental
psychology.
The target respondents are the Grade 11 students in a
school in Pasig City. The researcher prepared a
questionnaire for the respondents to answer based on
their personal experiences. The survey aims to
determine why a lot of students need to undergo
through counseling.
Among the five (5) different situations, the High Rates
Of Depression and Anxiety gets 70% as the top most
counseling that are need to focus on. Depression is a
common and serious medical illness that negatively
affects how you feel, the way you think and how you
act. Fortunately, it is also treatable.
The main objective of this study is to determine the
impact of high rates of depression and anxiety among
grade 11 students in Pasig City. This will affect the
students that can lead to a variety of emotional and
physical problems and decrease a person's ability to
function at work and home. Psychiatrist and
psychotherapists can help their clients to understand
the various cycle caused by giving up on personal
aspirations.
The reseachers findings suggest that students can
improve their mental health by raising or maintaining
high levels of tenacity and optimism. Disengaging from
striving towards those having a critical attitude that can
have high mental health cost.
