Method Statement for Ground Slab

1.0 Introduction

A slab is a structural element, made of concrete, that is used to create flat horizontal surfaces such
as floors, roof decks and ceilings. A slab is generally several inches thick and supported by
beams, columns, walls, or the ground.

3.0 Methodology

3.1 Earthwork

- Level earth with backhoe and compact with manual petrol engine compactor

- Spray anti-termite and cover with poly sheet

3.2 Formwork and Reinforcement

- Fabricate edge formwork

- Fabricate rebar and lay BRC

3.3 Clearing and Casting

- Clean up debris

- Concrete using concrete pump crane

- Sufficient vibrating poker will be used to compact the concrete

- Power float concrete surface with petrol engine machine

- Construction method to floor finishes of epoxy/hardener with 8mm flatness control.

3.4 Dismantle Formwork

- Dismantle edge formwork
