T he Symbiosis National Aptitude T est or SNAP T est is a national-level management entrance test conducted by Symbiosis

SNAP 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Graduates in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST /PWD candidates) or equivalent from
recognised university or institute can apply for SNAP 2019
Final year students are also eligible for the SNAP test, but their admission will remain provisional until submission of the
passing certificate
If you are an international student or have graduated from an international university, you have to obtain a certificate of
equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Once you have submitted the application, the AIU will verify your
foreign degree and qualifications before you seek admission to any programme under SIU

W ha t ' s Ne w in S NA P ?
T he SNAP exam pattern has been revised and the number of questions has been reduced from 115 to 110.
T he Current Affairs section has been scrapped from this year. T here will be only three sections: VARC, A-LR and QA, DI-DS.
T he format of the SNAP question paper has also been changed. T his year, there will be no Special Questions in VARC, A-LR
section. QA, DI-DS section will have only 5 Special Questions.
T he marking scheme has also been changed. In SNAP 2019, the VARC and A-LR questions will have 1.5 marks and QA, DI-DS
questions will carry 1 mark each.

SNAP Selection Process

Once the SNAP result is announced, the SIU affiliated institutes begin their admission process. T he admission process
includes Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability T est.
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their SNAP score and called for GE/PI/WAT . T he final selection is based on each
candidate’s academic record and performance in SNAP, GE/PI/WAT .

SNAP exam will be held across 92 cities from 2 pm to 4 pm. T he candidates must follow SNAP guidelines to be able to

How to Register and Fill SNAP Application Form 2019?

T o register, the candidates will be required to create a login ID on the official website of SNAP. Given below are the steps of
SNAP 2019 registration. Any Graduate who has scored a minimum of 50% marks from recognised university or institute
(45% for SC/ST candidates) can apply for SNAP 2019.

Documents to Upload During SNAP 2019 Registration

T he candidates will have to upload only one document at the time of SNAP registration along with the application form,
mentioned below:
Scanned copy of the candidate’s passport size photo, preferably with white background. It should not be more than three
months old, acceptable formats are jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif.
SNAP 2019: Selection and Fee Payment of Desired Programme and

SNAP candidates are also required to mention the programme they wish to pursue (at SIU institutes) through SNAP test. For
this, they are required to pay Rs 1000 per programme at the time of filling the SNAP application form.
Fee payment of the desired MBA programme can be done after making the payment for SNAP T est. Once the candidate has
paid the test fee, he/she can proceed to the Part II of the SNAP form for filling details of preferred programme and
institutes) and make payment.

Changes in SNAP Pattern

T he total number of questions has been reduced from 130 to 110.
T he current affairs section has been scrapped from this year. SNAP 2019 will have only 3 sections - VARC, A-LR and QA, DI-
DS.
T here will be no Special Questions or non-MCQ is VARC, A-LR.
T he QA, DI-DS section of the SNAP question paper will have 5 Special Questions carrying 2 marks each.
Sectional marking scheme has also been revised. In SNAP 2019, the VARC and A-LR questions will have 1.5 marks and QA, DI-
DS questions will carry 1 mark each.

T otal time that will be given to the candidates to solve the SNAP 2019 question paper is 2 hours (120 minutes).
T here is no sectional limit in SNAP exam. Candidates can attempt any section and any question first, according to their
preference.

SNAP question papers are the best source of exam preparation among all the study materials. SNAP previous year papers
provide an insight into the types of questions asked in the exam, difficulty level of the question and marking scheme.
Practicing SNAP question papers help candidates in identifying their strenghts and weaknesses as well as improve speed and
accuracy in solving problems. SNAP question papers are not released by the examination body. However, since the answer
key was released, the SNAP 2018 question paper is available to students.
T he SNAP 2018 question paper consisted of two types of questions – Normal Questions and Special Questions. Normal
Questions are the ones in MCQ format with four options to choose the right answer from. Special Questions are non-MCQs
in which the answers are to be keyed in. While Normal Questions carry one mark each, Special Questions carry 2 marks each.
T here is negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer.

SNAP admit card 2019 will be made available for download from December 2, 2019 onwards. T he candidates will be allowed
to download their admit cards from the official website of SNAP or the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University till the
exam day which is December 15, 2019. T hey can download the SNAP 2019 admit card by using the login ID created at the
time of SNAP exam registration.
T he SNAP admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre. Hard copies of the same will not be sent to
any candidate.

Applicants could face trouble in downloading SNAP admit card 2019 because of the below given reasons:

On the first day of SNAP 2019 admit card download, you find it difficult to login on the official website. T his could happen due

SNAP result 2019 will be announced on January 10, 2020. T he SNAP result cum score card will be available for download on
the official website of SNAP 2019 and Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU). Candidates can check their
result and download the scorecard by entering their SNAP exam ID and Password.
Post the declaration of SNAP 2019 result, Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability T est (WAT ) will be

How to Calculate SNAP Score?

T he SIU calculates the SNAP score of each candidate on the basis of the official marking scheme.
T otal marks is 150
Candidates are awarded 1 mark for every correct Normal Question and 2 marks for every correct Special Question
25% marks are deducted for every incorrect answer
T he total marks obtained in all the four sections of the SNAP question paper are added and the resulting overall score is
scaled down to 50 for final selection

What after SNAP Result 2019?

After the declaration of SNAP result, successful candidates will called for Group Exercise (GE)/Written Ability T est (WAT ) and
Personal Interaction (PI) rounds as part of the admission process.
Every institute under SIU fixes its own cut off and selection process. Final shortlisting for admission will be done on the basis
of GE-PI-WAT and overall SNAP Percentile. T he institutes under SIU will publish category-wise cut offs on their respective
websites.

A: No, there is no provision of rechecking or revaluation in SNAP.

SNAP cut off 2019 will be announced by all 15 Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU) institutes for admission to
their respective MBA programmes post the declaration of SNAP 2019 result (January 10, 2020). T he cut offs for admission
may rise or fall compared to the previous year due to various factors. Read below to know more about SNAP cut offs

SNAP Selection Procedure

Admission through SNAP includes Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability T est (WAT ) and Personal Interview (PI). SNAP selection
procedure is likely to begin in the second week of February 2020 and end by fourth week of the same month. T he schedule of
Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability T est (WAT ) and Personal Interview (PI) will be announced after the announcement of

Q: What is the selection criteria throug h SNAP?
A: T he candidates are selected on the basis of both sectional and overall cut offs for GE-PI-WAT round. T hose who clear the
GE-PI-WAT round are selected for admission.
Q: Are SNAP cut of f s same f or all students?
A: SNAP cut offs are different for students belonging to different categories. T he above mentioned cut offs are for General
category students.

A: No. Only those who meet the minimum cut off criteria will be considered for admission.

A: T he GE-PI-WAT for 2020 admission will be conducted in February, 2020. Official dates of GE-PI-WAT will be announced by
each SIU institute on their official website.

Answer Key
SNAP answer keys 2019 will be released by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU) on its official website a few
days before SNAP result announcement. the date has not been announced yet. However, since the SNAP 2018 answer keys
were released on December 19; we may expect it to be released in the third week of December this year too.
Along with the answer keys, SNAP 2019 question papers will also be released. SNAP 2019 test-takers can access the answer
key on the official website by using their SNAP login IDs and password. If they are unsatisfied with any of the answers given in
the official answer key, they can raise objection.
