Psalm 57:1-8

 David knew Who his protector was (Ps. 57:1)

 He took refuge in the shadow of God’s wings

 David fervently cried out for God (Ps. 57:2)

 He knew that God performs all things, vindicates, accomplishes what He started in him

 The enemy may try to take us down, but he will not prosper (Ps. 57:6)

 1 Jn. 4:4 – God is greater than any force of evil

 Job 1:12 – the Lord will not allow Satan to take our lives

 David’s heart was steadfast before God (Ps. 57:7)

 God’s promises never change—our hearts must be steadfast before God too

Do not look down at the world! Look up to God!

When we find rest in God, we receive His power and grace.

The Components of a HEALTHY Church

 H- hardware

 The people are the church’s hardware – the pastors, ministers, leaders, congregation

 Pastors must have a clear calling—confident in God’s call and work in their lives and ministry

 We must believe that God has given us the ability

 We must be confident with our ministry

 We must love the people and place that we minister to

 We must have a clear pastoral philosophy

 Our purpose is to serve people; our motive is love

 The measure of our ministry is sacrifice

 The authority of our ministry is submission to God

 The Components of a HEALTHY Church

 Prayer and God’s Word must be our tools for the ministry

Our privilege is growth

The Source of our power is the Holy Spirit

Our model for the ministry is Jesus Christ

 E – energy

 Baptism in the Holy Spirit should be our Source of energy

 A – aim

 Our aim must be CLEAR

 Our priority is worship

 Our purpose is the salvation of the community and missions

 The Components of a HEALTHY Church

 A clear aim helps us decide where our ministry goes

 A clear aim gives us courage, concentration, and cooperation

 A clear aim helps us become self-controlled to wait for God’s timing, focus on our target in the ministry, and
impart them to our members

 L – leadership

 A healthy church has a strong leadership

 Leaders must be people of integrity and truth

 Leaders must also continually seek and pursue improvement

 Leadership is improvement, as well as patience

 T – training

 The church must find workers and train them

 Workers must be trained to do missions and fulfill the church’s vision

 The church must give workers opportunities to serve and impart passion to members, as well as sound
teaching and practical programs

 H – harmony

 The healthy church is in harmony with one another

 The healthy church needs harmony with a victorious attitude

 The healthy church has a harmonious fellowship with God and people

 Y – yoke-fellows

 The healthy church has yoke-fellows in the ministry

 The healthy church needs mature members, trained workers, leaders, pastors and their spouses, as partners

 The healthy church does not forget that God is their ultimate Partner

 REMEMBER!
- Do not compare yourself and your ministry with others.
- Never forget that above all else, God’s presence and method determines a healthy church.
- We are in partnership with God

- We must know what God’s will is for us


- We must be a Missionary Church to grow
- Keep on praying and do all things for God and by His Spirit
