Swamiji Sadar Pranam

At the onset I would like to thank you for the below mail and for being kind enough to
consider our proposal for your esteemed organization.

Vedanta Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Vedanta Plc. London whose chairman is Mr.
Anil Agarwal, for the last 25 years is into the service of the society by empowering
underprivileged youth through skill based training.

In the last 25 years more than 1.5 million underprivileged youth have been benefited through
this initiative and most of them have been able to generate employment or have been self-
employed resulting in improvement of their and their families' social status.

As a part of our Social responsibility initiative we would like to extend the same facility of
skill based training in computers and tailoring at all Ramkrishna Mission locations across
India.

Initially Vedanta Foundation proposes to provide 3 nos. Computers and 2 nos. Tailoring
machines at each location to start of with and with the increase in no of students the no. of
machines will also be increased.

We will also provide one trainer per trade per location at each location at our cost for both
computer and tailoring.

Ramkrishna Mission only needs to arrange for the rooms and furniture for the training and
mobilize underprivileged youth from the locality to avail this facility.

In Computers we will be training as per the CCC curriculum of NIELIT ( National Institute of
Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India) for which we are a training partner.
This course will be of 126 hours duration spanning over 6 months having 1 hr/day session per
batch for 6 days a week. The fee for the said course in any institute ranges between INR 8000-
12000. We are running this course across India at our centers at a subsidized rate of INR
2900/- with NIELIT certification and at INR 1500/- per candidate without NIELIT certificate.
The certificate for Non- NIELIT certification courses are issued by Vedanta Foundation which
is acceptable by the industry and employment exchanges of various state governments. For
centers at Ramkrishna Mission units we can further subsidize the rate as per your
recommendation and whatever rate you feel best.

For Tailoring we run the course @ Rs. 600/- per student on standard curriculum developed by
us and the duration of the same is 4 months or 80 hrs. but the above condition of further
subsidizing the fee will be applicable here also.
Although our expenditure per student is around Rs. 3000 per course in Computers and Rs.
1500/ in tailoring, still we subsidize the same for the benefit of underprivileged students. At
the same time since we have noticed that students do not value anything provided to them at
free of cost, we have kept this fee, which the students can pay in equal installments during
the duration of their course, in order to make the student value the opportunity given to them.

At the same time any really poor, intelligent student if referred by Ramkrishna Mission we
will further subsidize the fee.

Regarding the MOU/Contract we would like to get associated with Ramkrishna Mission on a
long term basis and for the same clauses of MOU/Contract as made by you will be acceptable
by us.

Thanking you in anticipation of a favourable response and long term association.

Thanks & Regards

Debabrata Mitra
