1. According to this, telework benefits some employees at the expense of other.

Reviewing the ethical principles that we have discussed, what can a person
ethically do when a course of action benefits some people and hurts others?

 Like the mentioned statement in the last paragraph of this case, it’s not fair
to everyone applying this process of telecommunicating.
I believe that every person must have ethics, especially those who under
the human resource department. Without this they cannot be successful in
running their organization effectively. Ethics also include equality. Equality or
fairness should be always present in an organization, why? Because it is ethical
to treat equally each and every person either inside or outside of the organization
regardless of their sex, religion, race, educational attainment, status, color, or
even their nationality. Like in the telecommunicating process, yes, It could be
very beneficial to some employees, especially those who travel far away from
their houses, but if this will be implemented, think about what would happen to
those employees who sacrifices going to work every day. At this point we can
easily identify that the principle of equality is being breach, which should be
present in order to have an ethical work place.
My other point of view if in case telecommunicating process will pursue, I
won’t be considering it as a right way of offering their work from the organization,
for a very simple reason, the real and proper etiquettes of an employee should
possessed in an work place inside an organization is gone, plus it’s the image of
organization that will suffer at the end.

2. Imagine that you work in human resource management at a company that has
decided adopt telework as a way to retain valued employees. Suggest ways you
can help the company proceed with this plan as ethically as possible.

 In case the telecommunicating process would be implemented in an

organization for the sake of those valued employees.
First and foremost, I will make sure that this telecommunicating process
would be beneficial to the majority of the employees, not only to those valued
employees, why? Because ethically speaking when we are assigned to make this
kind of decision, we should be considering the goods of the majority rather than
the goods those few, then that makes it ethical to everyone, by following the
principles of equality in connection of being ethical, which means doing only the
right thing.
If that would be the case then, I highly suggested this process of
telecommunicating should be pursued and be implemented in the organization.
