RTN Configuration Guide

 Configure the LAN configuration of your laptop as per the IP of the IDU.
Ex. IP 10.11.X.Y mask 255.0.0.0 and default gateway : no need
 Open command window and ping the IP of the IDU.
129.9.0.253/255.255.0.0 Laptop IP for new IDU
Ex. Ping 10.11.X.P, it must be pinged.
 Double click on Start Web LCT

You will get the window like as follow

 LCT starting. Wait until the internet explorer opens.

 IE window will be opened as shown below:

 Click on continue to this website ( not recommended ).

 A login window will be opened as shown

 User name: admin , password : Changeme_123, ( mind capital ‘C’)


 Put the verification code and click on Login.

 Web LCT will open now.

 From here we can add the NE.


 Click on NE search.

 Adding NEs.

 From the NE search select the Advanced search.

 Search NE dialog box will appear

 Click on search NE drop down menu.


 Select IP auto discovery.

 User name:- root (default), password:- password


 Click on search.

 NE SEARCHED

 After searching NE, you will find all the NE’s connected to your GNE along with
your own GNE.(At hub site only)
 Clink on END Search then on ADD NE, and finally on Cancel as shown above.
 GNE’s are all those NE’s directly connected with LAN with the IDU in which you have
connected your own LAN.

 After adding NE:


1. Clink on the added NE to which you want to login.
2. Clink on NE Login
 A window will be appeared asking for user name and password.

 Default user name : lct password: password.


 Click on Ok. NE will be logged in.

 Check the login status: must be logged In.


 Click on NE explorer.
 IE will be opened showing the system.

 The logical board must be added as shown above in slot 4 & 24 before any MW configuration.
 If the logical board has not been added as shown in slot 3 & 23:
1. Right click on the required slot at which you have installed the hardware.
2. Add the corresponding logical board.

 From the function tree click on Configuration to configure the MW link.

 Click on the link configuration as shown above.

 MW link configuration Cont.

 While doing MW link configuration, do the followings:


1. Put the IF channel bandwidth as per plan.
2. Select the AM status as Disabled.
3. Manual modulation mode as per plan.
4. Tx frequency as per plan.
5. TR spacing = ±( Tx freq. – Rx freq)
6. Tx Power = as per plan ( dBm )
7. Tx status ( always unmute )
8. Click on apply.

 MW link configuration Cont.

 Fix the MW antenna as per the plan of given azimuth angle.


 Monitor the receive level as shown above.
 The value of receive level must be near to the planed value.
 After aligning the MW to planed RSL your link will be synchronized.

 Service configuration

 To configure the service do the followings:


1. Click on Function tree.
2. Click on Interface management
3. Click on Ethernet interface
 From the basic attribute, enable the required ports by right clicking on Enable port column.
 To put comments in the port double click on corresponding port in the Name column, put
comments and click Apply.
 Check the layer 2 Attributes: , To run the service in the selected port the tag type must be
tag aware.

 VLAN Tagging:

E-LAN Service

 After enabling the ports:


1. Expand the Ethernet service management.
2. Click on E-LAN service
 If the E-LAN service is added, a window will appear as above.
1. Click on Get UNI Port.
 If E-LAN service is not added, E-LAN service window opens blank.
 Click on NEW if E-LAN service has not been added to add it.

 VLAN Tagging:

 In New E-LAN service:


1. Put service name: XXXX, rest everything will be same as shown above.
 Click on Get UNI port

 In Get UNI port dialog box:


1. Select ISU2 from the board list.
2. Select the port.
3. Shift to right as shown in 2nd window.
 Double click on VLAN field and add the VLANs required (All VLANs).

 VLAN Tagging:

 Select EM4T from the board list.


 Select the required ports and shift them to right.
 Double click on VLAN field and put the required VLANs.
 Click Ok.
 Connect the port with LAN cable to required device.(BTS or other parent IDU)
