“Phil DelRe’s tract: God’s Three Witnesses is the finest Gospel tract I
have ever seen.” His book, The Fear of Man Vs. The Fear Of God touched
my heart. It really is a clarion call to action.”
—Dr. David Larsen
Professor of Preaching Emeritus at Trinity Evangelical Divinity
School and author of 18 books; including the 900 page History
of Preaching; published by Kregel.
“That was the clearest and most complete evangelistic message I have
ever heard. I doubt that there was a hard heart left in the room. You
need to get this published so the whole world can read it.”
—Todd Wendorf
Former Associate Pastor at Saddleback Community Church
“I have been attending seminars for over 40 years, and your presentation
was the most direct presentation of the Gospel I have heard.”
Pastor from Beyond Amsterdam 2000 Conference
Sponsored by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and
the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia.
“I absolutely love your book, God the Final Frontier. I want my whole
family to read it. Your facts on the universe and the Trinity were
fascinating!”
—Debra Moffett
Co-host of the Harvest Show and former Miss America 1983
“Your message on law and grace was the most fantastic, fantastic,
fantastic sermon I’ve ever heard in my life.”
—Tim & Sarah Brown
Students, Trinity International Divinity School
“The day you preached on The Fear of Man we had 940 requests for
copies of that message! You broke the record!”
—Harvest Church
T
ry to imagine nothing exists. There is no sun, no moon, no
stars, and no galaxies. There are no elements such as carbon,
hydrogen, nitrogen or oxygen. There are no such things as
time, space, matter or energy. There is no universe, no God, nothing!
Socrates defined it this way,
“Nothing is what rocks dream about.”
Here’s the point; if there ever was a time when nothing but nothing
existed, then nothing would exist now, therefore something must be
eternal! I love how the late Dr. Walter Martin used to say it,
“If anything now exists, either something is eternal, or no
one plus nothing, equals everything.”
There is one thing that most scientists, theologians, and philosophers
agree on, and it’s this. You have only two choices: either God is eternal
and uncreated, or matter is eternal and uncreated.
Prominent evolutionist George Wald, biochemist and Nobel Laureate
from Harvard University said,
“When it comes to the origin of life, we have only two pos-
sibilities as to how life arose. One is spontaneous generation
arising to evolution; the other is a supernatural creative act
of God. There is no third possibility...Spontaneous generation
was scientifically disproved one hundred years ago by Louis
Pasteur, Spellanzani, Reddy and others. That leads us scien-
tifically to only one possible conclusion—that life arose as a
supernatural creative act of God...I will not accept that phil-
osophically because I do not want to believe in God. Therefore,
I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically im-
possible, spontaneous generation arising to evolution.” 1
Science Speaks
Since Einstein’s theory (which has been proven accurate to within five
decimal points) shows that time, space, and matter had a beginning,
then our only other option is staring us in the face: God is eternal and
uncreated!
Therefore, as Norman Geisler states it, “Asking the question, where
did God come from? is a nonsensical question. It contains the false
assumption that God was created or had a beginning and then asks:
how is that possible? It’s like asking, where did the bachelor get his
wife? Or, what does blue sound like? Bachelors by definition do not
have wives, and sight is not in the category of sound.”3 In the same

“The Christians Are Here; Call Out The Lions!”
It was a beautiful Thursday night in Chicago just before 7 p.m. I was
walking into the “Super Maximum Security” division of the Cook
County jail—one of the most notorious county jails in the United
States. As a chaplain, I have been preaching there once, twice, and
sometimes three times a week for the last 18 years. It’s an absolutely
incredible place. On 96 acres, it’s the largest county jail in America.
It’s a city within a city. There are 10,000 men and 1,500 women locked
up behind hundreds of thousands of tons of cement and steel. As
many as 100,000 men and women will be processed through the jail
each year. It has an underground tunnel system connecting 10 of the
11 divisions. It has almost 4,000 full-time employees, and its own
hospital. When the first division was constructed in 1929, it included
a small room with one piece of furniture—the electric chair—they
call it the “Ice House.” In 1931 Al Capone became one of its most
A Final Thought
The most normal, natural, sane, rational intelligent thing you can do
is to love the God Who created you and become a disciple of Jesus
Christ. Knowing God is the key that unlocks all the treasures of wis-
dom and knowledge man needs to live successfully. The greatest
questions are all answered by having a personal relationship with God
through the Lord Jesus Christ. When you know who you are in rela-
tion to who He is, you know:
1. Who you are. 2. Where you came from. 3. Why you are here. 4.
Where you are going. 5. You have someone to love and be loved by.
6. You have something to do. 7. You have something to hope for.
The first verse in the Bible may be the most controversial of the more
than 31,000 verses found within its pages. If Genesis 1: 1 is not true,
then there is no such thing as absolute moral truth, because in an
evolutionary universe there is no basis for it. And since we know that
is false (for to deny absolutes is logically self-defeating), then the ac-
count given in Genesis 1:1 is consistent with the existence of absolute
truth (whereas evolution is not).
