Position Purpose:
The FICO Consultant in the SAP Center of Excellence shall be responsible for supporting Finance and
Controlling (FICO) projects and will lead the analysis, design, documentation, configuration, testing
& support of the SAP FICO areas to meet the business needs of PI . The role holder shall work
closely with internal customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality,
the role holder shall add value to the SAP CoE through their knowledge of the FICO module and
knowledge of its integration with other modules.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
• Based on business/financial requirements, plan and architect based on SAP using the FICO
module under the guidance of the Head Functional Delivery & Projects
• Identify and recommend enhancements to FICO and other related modules based on
thorough understanding of the business needs and process related changes.
• Define and actively champion continuous improvements in methods, processes, and
technologies that produce high performance integration solutions.
Operational
Requirements Gathering & Design
Implementation
• Analyze, design, construct, test, and implement financial processes, controls and
application enhancements ensuring close coordination and integration with other SAP
modules.
• Lead multiple project activities related to business transformation, automation and
digitalization for the finance vertical specifically, and coordinate with internal and
external cross-functional groups for other automation related projects.
• Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and
action items.
Training
• Provide application support and training to the end users
• Clarify processes to end users and business stakeholders as required
• Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application
research
Documentation / Compliance
• Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IS methodology and
processes around SAP FICO and other projects allotted.
• Provide detailed transactional information to internal and external auditors as required.
Financial
• Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded
functionality/user base
• Monitor and adhere to the budgets allocated to the department
People
• Attend trainings on training needs identified or imparted by HR to enhance performance
