Major Roles
Definition: the director is in charge of everything he decides what music is chosen and
where the camera is placed ECT.
Definition: the producer is someone who makes sure that everyone is in their right
places and their in charge of the paper work.
Definition: The editor role is when the scenes have been made to edit them and make
the scenes flow and make sure they are at there best quality and then they will also add
in sound to the scenes or lighting.
Minor Roles
Definition: This will be another camera operator but he will assist the main camera
operator and will be given instructions from the main camera operator
Assistant Director (A.D.): Jack Cogan
Definition: This role will assist the main director and maybe help him tweak his ideas
and come up with ideas that will help the main director out. They may be put in charge
of a certain part of directing the film.
Definition: The art director is someone who is responsible for the visual style and images
within films, so there role is quite important.
Definition: Casting Directors organize and facilitate the casting of actors for all the roles
in a film. This involves working closely with the director and producer to understand
their requirements, and suggesting ideal artists for each role.
Definition: They will finds the perfect locations to film in which would best suit the film,
they will look into and travel to places that the film could possibly be filmed in that
location
Definition: They make sure things run smoothly and efficiently, responsibilities of their
job include planning and organising production schedules and estimating and agreeing
budgets.
Definition: They come up with ideas from there own ideas or exusting work to write
scripts for the film. Prior to production of a film or show, screenwriters might produce a
synopsis and several scenes of a story.
