COMMENTS ON THE OFFER OF ELECTRICS OF M/S KIRLOSKAR

BROTHERS LIMITED

1.0 Please note that electric power at 415 V, 3 phase, 3 wire, 50 Hz will be
made available by the purchaser over a single cable feeder at incoming
terminals of MCCs. Further sub-distribution as well as conversion to any
other voltage level will be included in your scope of work.

2.0 Confirm that all the equipments offered will be suitable for the following
conditions as per Clause no. 8.5 and 4.2, section-IIA of TS:

i) Short circuit fault : 50 KA for 1second

level
ii) Voltage variation : +10 % to -15 %
iii) Frequency variation : ±6 %
iv) Maximum ambient : 45ºC (indoor) / 50ºC (outdoor)
Temperature
v) Relative Humidity : 84 %
vi) Control circuit voltage : to be adopted as per Clause
no. 8.5.2.5, section-IIA of TS.

3.0 Confirm that derating of all the electrical equipments will be done for an
ambient temperature of 50ºC.

4.0 Please confirm compliance to item no. 9.0 of section-I of TS regarding

supply of all consumables including printer paper, ink, cartridge, CD etc
upto PAC.

5.0 Please confirm compliance to item 15.0 of section-I of TS regarding

submission of all drawings, documents, test certificates etc.

6.0 Please confirm that the scope of work will be as per clause no. 1.0,
section-IIC of TS.

7.0 Please confirm that incoming cables from customer’s panels to various
sump pump control panels (SPCPs) of MCL hot water system, waste
water system and drainage system as well as the outgoing cables from
various SPCPs to sump pumps will also be included in your scope of
work.

8.0 Please confirm the following regarding the 415 V MCCs to be provided by
you.

a) The incoming MCCB to the MCC shall work as a isolator only, i.e.
these shall not be provided with overload and short circuit releases.

b) ON/OFF control of cooling tower fans will be based on set

temperature of cooling water supply header of RCPS-1 & 2.
 c) Signal exchange between PLC and MCC as per item no. 2.3.8.4
and 2.3.8.5 of section-IIA of TS.

d) Signal exchange between PLC and SPCP as per item no. 1.2.9.4.3
of section-IIA of TS.

e) Feeders of RCP-1, 2, & 3 and FWP-2 will be controlled over soft

starter.

9.0 Confirm that all MCCs and SPCPs will be offered as per SLD 25331-08-
05-ELE-0019 for water system.

10.0 Confirm that the technical features of 415 V AC motors will be as per
clause no. 1.4.1 of section-IIC of TS.

11.0 Confirm that the technical features of 415 V Motor Control Centre (MCC)
will be as per clause no. 1.4.1 of section-IIC of TS.

12.0 Confirm that the technical features of Sump Pump Control Panel will be
as per clause no. 1.2.9.4, section-IIA of TS.

13.0 Confirm that auto start of standby pump will be provided in case of duty
pump failure.

14.0 Following minimum facilities shall be provided for each pump motor:

a) Electrical energy consumption of the plant.

b) MCCB trip (short circuit and earth fault).
c) EOCR trip
d) MCCB and control MCB ON
e) Auto-manual selection
f) no. of pumps selection
g) Current drawn by motor of rating 15 kW and above.
h) 415 V bus under voltage
i) Motor running
j) Standby pump ready to start

15.0 Confirm that earthing studs will be provided for each pump motor.

16.0 Confirm that the make of all the electrical equipments and items will be
as per ANNEX-1 enclosed with TS.

17.0 Confirm that rubber mat, shock treatment chart, danger board etc. will
also be provided by you.
