 Math – Workbook Page 44 Questions 3 and 4
 PARENTS – Please feel free to complete any additional problems for lesson
1.5 if you feel your child needs additional practice. Please do not complete
any problems for the next day’s lesson.
 Reading – Read Scholastic Magazine article “You Can Do It” and answer this
question: Write something you would like to get better at. What can you
tell yourself if you feel like giving up? Explain.
 Word Study – Write a sentence for words 1-5. Underline the word in the
sentence.

Thursday
 Math – Workbook Page 44 Question 6 and Page 45 (Solve and Share)
 PARENTS – Please feel free to complete any additional problems for lesson
1.5 if you feel your child needs additional practice. Please do not complete
any problems for the next day’s lesson.
 Reading – Read a fiction book for 20 minutes. Write down the title of the
book you read and make a text-to-self connection: Does this story remind
you of anything that has happened in your own life? Explain.
 Word Study – Words 6-9 make the “short e” sound. Write 3 new words
that have the “short e” sound. (Hint: Think about words that rhyme with
words 6-9 or any new words with “short e” sound.)
Friday
 Math – Workbook Page 49 Question 1 and 2
 PARENTS – Please feel free to complete any additional problems for lesson
1.6 if you feel your child needs additional practice. Please do not complete
any problems for the next day’s lesson.
 Reading – Read a fiction book for 20 minutes. Write down the title of the
book you read and answer this question: Who is telling this story? How do
you know?
 Word Study – Words 11-14 make the “short e” sound. Write 3 new words
that have the “short e” sound. (Hint: Think about words that rhyme with
words 11-14 or any new words with “short e” sound.)
