NARRATIVE REPORT

A. Socio-Economic Profile
Libis, one of the leading barangay in the City of Calapan, has a
merely 59,000.00 square meters. Having 340-336 households, as of
2017, about 1,368 is recorded to be said living at the barangay with
an average family size of five members. Busy people such as
students and workers hovers the barangay. Most of the workers
are Government Employees followed by OFW’s and vendors. This
factor gives the barangay an undisputed reputation for the whole
city.
Due to it’s mere develop status for the living, 5.86% of the
household here are built on concrete, 28-12.14% are wood, 254-
1.33% are semi concrete, making it the top household class. It is a
combination of both concrete and wood materials to create and
stand a home, which built the barangay. Every day, eco aids scout
the barangay. Libis is one of the outstanding barangay in the city
when it comes to proper garbage segregation. It is the only
barangay which has a medicine that converts garbage to fertilizers,
the process is said to be grinding.
Since most of the household is built semi-concrete, water source
drinking is not a big deal.
The city provides Water Supply System that gives potable water
for each and every one. There are some private water supply
distributors, also. Other source for potable water is thru well which
is harvested and deliver by the distributors. In addition, all
household have well toilet sanitation and the barangay provides 10
community toilets.

B. Health and Nutrition Profile


During the month oh January, BNS and BHWs corporate the
barangay for their Operation Timbang, that aims underweight
children from month 0-71. They also record pregnant women and
those lactating mothers. 195 children were weighed where 184 of
them aged 0-59 months. 1.35%-3.59% were are underweight, 0%
were severely underweight, and 1.60% were overweight. 0.50%
were stanted children, 2.92% were severely stanted, and 0% were
tall. 2.6% were wasted, 2.1% were severely wasted, and 0% were
obese.

 To ensure that all 6-11 months and 12-59 months receives
Vitamin A.
 To ensure that all 6-11 months and 12-59 moths is dewormed.
Pabasa sa Nutrisyon
 Celebrate Pabasa Nutrisyon for Pregnant Women and Mothers
of Underweight Children.
 The let mothers know proper nutrition for their children.
Vegetables and Egg Syllabus
 To educate mothers about the importance of vegetables and
egg.
 Mothers must at least gain knowledge on the different types and
kinds of recipes for cooking vegetables and egg.
 Mothers should know the importance of the vitamins and
minerals in vegetables and egg.
Infant & Young Child Feeding Program (IYCF)
 To educate mothers about the importance of breast feeding.
 Mothers should know to feed their babies.
Nutrition Month
 Celebrate Nutrition Month on the month of July.
 Mothers must gain information about nutrition according to the
theme.
Supplement Feeding
 Cook nutritious food for underweight children.
 Let underweight children eat nutritious food.
 No more underweight children in the barangay.
