Problem Statement:
1. Service and management is not up to mark.
2. Due to lack of management users are not satisfied.
3. Reduce the workload of existing system.
4. Elimination of issues regarding the data and high paper work of
canteen.
5. Manual work of ordering and servicing needs to be improved.
6. Problem regarding the record keeping can be solved.
7. There is a need of having digital data record whether it is a
small scale canteen or a large scale canteen to have a smooth
functioning.
Abstract Of Project:
The purpose of Canteen Management System is to automate the
existing manual system by the help of computerized equipment’s and
full-fledged computer software, fulfilling their requirements, so that
their valuable data/information can be stored for a longer period with
easy accessing and manipulation of the same.
It will be designed using HTML, PHP, CSS for frontend development,
for database MySQL will be used and PHP will be used to connect the
database.
Introduction of the Project:
This software is supported to eliminate and, in some cases, reduce the
hardships faced by this existing system. Moreover,this system is
designed for the particular need of the company to carry out
operations in a smooth and effective manner.
The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while
entering the data. It also provides error message while entering invalid
data. No formal knowledge is needed for the user to use this system.
Thus, by this all it proves it is user-friendly.

Objective of Project:
The main objective of the Project on Company Canteen Management
System is :
 To manage the details of Company Canteen, Employee,
Employee Meal, Meal Type, Canteen Staff.
 To manages all the information about Company Canteen, Bill
Payment, Canteen Staff, Company Canteen.
 To build an application program to reduce the manual work for
managing the Company Canteen, Employee, Bill Payment,
Employee Meal.
  To track all the details about the Employee Meal, Meal Type,
Canteen Staff.

Software Specifications:
 Frontend – CSS, HTML, PHP.
 Backend - PHP, MySQL.
 Sublime Text Editor.

Hardware Specifications:
 Processor – Pentium 4 Or Above.
 Ram – 2GB or Above.
 Hard Disk – 40GB Or Above.

Advantages:
 Creating and changing issues at ease.
 Reporting and charting in more comprehensive way.
 It contains better storage capacity.
 Targets and milestones for guiding the programmers.
 Easy to update information.
Disadvantages:
 If the website is down you cannot access the content.
 Need internet connection.
 Browser should use HTML5 only then it will be able to load the
latest content.

Future Scope:
A number of improvements can be made by updating the website
code and adding more resources.
 Add resources regarding the canteen and famous dishes.
 Upgrade user interface.
 Add recipe’s and making videos.
 Feedback, updations and grievances.
 Meal types, combinations for meals.
 More interactive website can be upgraded.

Conclusion:
The goal is to reduce and eliminate the current manual systems issues,
regarding the meal type, customers data, transactions, smooth
running of management system.
Most important is the proper record keeping of customer data,
transactions, meal plans, reduction of paper work and counter system.
Making the delivery services, management easier and digitalized.
