DEVOTION TO MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS

I. Objectives:

1. To increase Marian devotion under the title Mary Help of Christians as invoked by Don
Bosco, his Salesians and the many young people whose lives have been protected by our
Lord through our Blessed Mother.
2. By doing this according to year levels, the parents of students have the
Chance to get to know other parents and share each other’s faith.
3. Family members will find this an important time to be together to bond and
Influence each other’s spiritual life through brief prayer and sharing.

II. Home Visitation:

1. Preparations:
It will be well if the family who will receive the MHC statue goes to confession
An altar is prepared the house with vigil candles.

2. For the receiving:

The family attends the 9:30 AM Sunday Mass at DBTC and will receive the statue from
the priest-celebrant towards the end of the mass.

3. For the Arrival:

A song is sung while the statue of Mary is enthroned on the altar with lighted candles
The recitation of the rosary is recommended
Prayer: Entrustment of the Home to Mary Help of Christians serves as conclusion
